HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A group of charities, volunteers and literacy advocates is gathering books for under-resourced youths in the Hartford area.
The fifth annual Greater Hartford Holiday Book Drive gets under way Monday and runs through Dec. 21. Organizers say they're collecting new or gently used hard-cover and paperback books that can benefit at-risk elementary school students.
SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Radio talk show host Don Imus has sold his sprawling New Mexico ranch to rural cable TV mogul Patrick Gottsch.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that facilitators of the deal declined to give the selling price of the 3,400-acre property about 50 miles (80 kilometers) southwest of Santa Fe, but it was last listed for $19 million.
RIBERA, N.M. (AP) — The sprawling cattle ranch in northern New Mexico owned by former radio host Don Imus is for sale.
Real estate agent Craig Huitfeldt confirmed last week that the ranch is on the market, the Santa Fe New Mexico reported Saturday.
OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) — The International Bluegrass Music Museum has announced the lead acts for its annual ROMP Festival in western Kentucky.
A statement from the museum says Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Sam Bush and Doyle Lawson will highlight the annual four-day ROMP: Bluegrass Roots & Branches Festival in Owensboro next summer. Additional acts include Rhiannon Giddens, We Banjo 3 (Ireland), and Billy Strings. More performers will be announced in the spring.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) — A new attendance record has been set at a bluegrass music festival in Kentucky.
A statement from the International Bluegrass Music Museum says more than 26,000 people attended the 14th annual ROMP: Bluegrass Roots & Branches Festival, which was held June 21-24. The bluegrass museum says crowds traveled to the event from 39 states and four countries.
