RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Jomaru Brown had a season-high 30 points as Eastern Kentucky beat Tennessee State 75-65 on Saturday night.
Tre King had 12 points for Eastern Kentucky (11-14, 4-8 Ohio Valley Conference), which snapped its four-game losing streak. Kelvin Robinson added 10 points and nine rebounds. Nick Mayo had 12 rebounds and three blocks for the hosts.
Michael Littlejohn had 16 points for the Tigers (8-16, 5-7). Kamar McKnight added 12 points. Stokley Chaffee Jr. had eight rebounds.

BOONE, N.C. (AP) — Ronshad Shabazz led five in double figures with 18 points, and Appalachian State nearly blew an 18-point halftime lead in a 77-73 win over Coastal Carolina in the season finale for both on Saturday.
Coastal Carolina trailed 48-30 at halftime but rallied to take a 59-57 lead after a Jaylen Shaw 3-pointer with 8:08 left. The score remained close the rest of the way, neither team led by more than five.
Varnado has 21 points, 12 boards, Troy beats App State 76-66
TROY, Ala. (AP) — Jordon Varnado scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help Troy beat Appalachian State 76-66 on Monday night.
App State made the first basket of the second half to take a 34-33 lead but Troy scored 14 of the next 16 points for an 11-point lead. Juan Davis Jr., Wesley Person and Kevin Baker each hit a 3-pointer during the run and Varnado converted a 3-point play.

BOONE, N.C. (AP) — Ronshad Shabazz made four 3-pointers and scored 21 points, and Appalachian State outscored James Madison 14-2 in overtime for a 73-61 victory on Saturday.
At the end of regulation, Patrick Good dribbled past several defenders and found Kelvin Robinson on the wing for a 3-pointer with 0.5 seconds left to tie it at 59-all.
Charlotte hangs on for 80-72 win over Appalachian State
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Jon Davis scored 19 points, Anthony Vanhook added 14 more and Charlotte rolled to an 80-72 win over Appalachian State on Monday night.
Charlotte (4-2) never trailed but had to hold off a late Appalachian State rally that cut a 13-point margin to just four, 76-72, on a free throw from Ronshad Shabazz with 2:09 to play.
Davis dropped in a layup at the other end to stretch Charlotte's advantage back to six and then sank a pair of free throws with 19 seconds left to clinch it.
