GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Freshman Shawn Williams scored a season-high 22 points off the bench, made six of nine 3-point shots, also a season best, and East Carolina shot 61-percent from the floor and led all the way to dominate South Florida 90-52 Wednesday night.
East Carolina beats Delaware State 63-57
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Isaac Fleming and Kentrell Barkley scored 17 points apiece and East Carolina held off Delaware State 63-57 on Saturday.
Shawn Williams scored 12 points and Jabari Craig grabbed 11 rebounds for the Pirates (4-4), who outrebounded the Hornets 51-33 and outscored them 34-28 in the paint in a game that featured 10 lead changes.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Kentrell Barkley and Shawn Williams each scored 14 points as East Carolina earned its 16th consecutive win in its home opener Sunday, dispatching Coppin State 76-50.
Barkley, a returning starter, hit 5 of 7 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line also grabbed seven rebounds for the Pirates. Williams, in his first game after redshirting, came off the bench to hit 4 of 9 shots from the field, including 2 of 5 from deep.
No. 12 SMU holds off ECU 81-77 in AAC quarterfinals
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Semi Ojeleye scored a career-high 36 points and No. 12 SMU held off East Carolina 81-77 Friday in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
The conference's player of the year hit 12 of his 19 shots and pulled down 12 rebounds, giving him his fifth double-double this season.
Sterling Brown added 16 points for SMU (28-4). The AAC's regular-season champions have won 14 straight and 24 of their last 25 games.
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Kentrell Barkley had career highs of 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead East Carolina to an 80-69 victory over Temple in the first round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament on Thursday.
White scores career-high 28 in ECU’s win over UConn
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Every college basketball player dreams of having a career game on his Senior Night, and East Carolina's Caleb White certainly didn't disappoint in his finale at Minges Coliseum.
The 6-foot-7 forward poured in a career-high 28 points in his final home game, leading East Carolina to a 66-62 upset of Connecticut on Wednesday night.
White's previous high was 22 points. Kentrell Barkley added 18 points for ECU.

SMU sweeps East Carolina with 40 point blowout win
DALLAS (AP) — Shake Milton and Semi Ojeleye each scored 19 points and SMU earned the season sweep of East Carolina with an 86-46 victory on Wednesday night.
Sterling Brown finished with 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for SMU (19-4, 9-1 American), while Ben Moore added 14 points and 11 boards.
Barkley has 19 & 11 to help East Carolina hold off Tulsa
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Kentrell Barkley had 19 points and 11 rebounds and East Carolina held on to defeat Tulsa 69-66 on Wednesday night to end a six-game losing streak.

Adams scores 19 to lead UConn over ECU
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Jalen Adams scored 19 points to lead a short-handed UConn squad over East Carolina 72-65 Sunday in American Athletic Conference play.
Four of the six scholarship Huskies (9-11, 3-4) who played scored in double figures to help snap a two-game losing streak. Rodney Purvis had 16 points, while Kentan Facey and Amida Brimah each scored 13. Facey also finished with 10 rebounds for his third double-double in the last four games.
Taylor scores 19, UCF wins 5th straight, beats ECU 48-45
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — B.J. Taylor had 19 points, Chad Brown added 11 in as many minutes and UCF beat East Carolina 48-45 on Tuesday night.
Brown, who made 4 of 4 from the field, has three double-digit scoring games in the last four after recording just one in the first 41 games of his college career. Matt Williams scored 13 and A.J. Davis tied a career-high with 15 rebounds.

Charleston dumps East Carolina 53-35 behind Chealey’s 14 PTs
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Joe Chealey scored 14 points and had six rebounds and Jarrell Brantley added 11 points and eight boards as College of Charleston beat East Carolina 53-35 on Thursday night.
The two teams combined to shoot 31 for 107 from the floor (29 percent). Charleston (8-3) was 20 for 60 and East Carolina (7-4) was 11 for 47.
Holland’s 3 helps Mercer beat East Carolina 70-66
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Rian'n Holland scored a career-high 26 points and his 3-pointer with 20 seconds left helped Mercer beat East Carolina 70-66 on Friday in the Barclays Center Classic.
Trailing by nine at halftime, East Carolina rallied to a 66-65 lead on Andre Washington's free throw. Holland made his 3-pointer after a Mercer timeout, then Demetre Rivers got a big steal on the next possession. Jordan Strawberry iced it for Mercer with two free throws.
Barkley scores 21, East Carolina beats Florida A&M 82-62
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Kentrell Barkley scored 11 of his 21 points in the first half to help East Carolina pull away early and beat Florida A&M 82-62 in Monday night's second round game of the Savannah Invitational.
With the win, coach Jeff Lebo surpasses Tom Quinn's 102 victories, making him East Carolina's winningest coach since the program's start in the Division I era in 1965.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Caleb White scored 20 points and East Carolina opened the season with a 72-57 victory over Grambling State on Friday night.
Kentrell Barkley added 14 points and BJ Tyson 12 points and eight assists for the Pirates, who won their 14th consecutive nonconference game. The win also gave head coach Jeff Lebo his 100th victory at East Carolina, just the third to do so in program history.
