HOMEWOOD, Ala. (AP) — Josh Sharkey matched his career high with 27 points as Samford narrowly beat Chattanooga 80-76 in overtime on Saturday.
Ruben Guerrero had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Samford (16-11, 6-8 Southern Conference). Myron Gordon added 13 points. Stefan Lakic had seven rebounds for the hosts.
Jerry Johnson Jr. tied a career high with 26 points and had seven rebounds for the Mocs (11-16, 6-8). Kevin Easley added 15 points and nine rebounds. Thomas Smallwood had 12 points.
Alonso leads UNC Greensboro past Chattanooga 78-63
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Francis Alonso scored 28 points as UNC Greensboro won its eighth straight game, beating Chattanooga 78-63 on Saturday night.
Isaiah Miller added 21 points for the Spartans. Miller also had five steals for the Spartans.
Kyrin Galloway had 13 points for UNC Greensboro (22-3, 11-1 Southern Conference).

Smallwood scores 16, Chattanooga tops VMI 71-70
LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) — Thomas Smallwood scored 16 points, including four of Chattanooga's 12 3-pointers and the Mocs defeated VMI 71-70 on Thursday night.
Smallwood, a 7-foot backup center who averages 6.1 points per game, made all four of his 3-point tries and the Mocs (11-14, 6-6 Southern Conference) made 12 of 30 for 40 percent. Ramon Vila, David Jean-Baptiste and Donovann Toatley scored 11 each for UTC.
Magee with 24 points leads Wofford past Chattanooga 80-69
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Fletcher Magee scored 24 points on six 3-pointers and Wofford beat Chattanooga 80-69 on Saturday night.
Cameron Jackson added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Terriers (17-4, 9-0) who are on an eight-game win streak and lead in the Southern Conference standings. Keve Aluma had 13 points with five rebounds.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Kevin Easley had 22 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer late, and 12 rebounds and Chattanooga held off The Citadel 73-71 on Saturday to win its third straight.
Chattanooga led 41-32 at halftime, but the Bulldogs closed to 45-43 on an 11-0 run early in the second half before taking a 60-58 lead on Lew Stallworth's 3-pointer with 7:22 to go. The lead traded hands until Easley's 3 gave the Mocs a 70-69 lead with 56 seconds to go.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Kevin Easley scored 20 points on four 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds as Chattanooga held on late to edge Samford 80-75 on Saturday night.
Ramon Vila added 18 points and led with 11 rebounds for the Mocs (8-10, 3-2 Southern Conference). Donovann Toatley added 10 points and Jerry Johnson Jr. and Thomas Smallwood had nine points apiece.
East Tennessee St rolls to 96-70 win over Chattanooga
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) — Tray Boyd III came off the bench to hit four 3-pointers and score 19 points and East Tennessee State shot 61 percent from the floor and cruised to a 96-70 victory over Chattanooga on Saturday.
Boyd hit 7 of 9 shots, including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc, as the Buccaneers (13-4, 3-1 Southern Conference) made 36 of 59 shots — 9 of 18 from distance. Bo Hodges had 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting and reserve Mladen Armus pitched in with 10 rebounds and eight points.

CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) — Kevin Easley scored 21 points making all five of his 3-point shot attempts and David Jean-Baptiste added 13 to lead Chattanooga past Western Carolina 73-62 Thursday night.
Ramon Vila scored 10 points with seven rebounds and the Mocs (7-9, 2-1 Southern Conference) finished 24-of-47 (51.1 percent) shooting and made half their 22 3-point shot attempts. It was the seventh time this season they've made 11 or more from long range.

Commander made 4 of 5 from distance, Johnson hit a trio of 3s, Kevin Easley scored 11 points with two from distance and David Jean-Baptiste also scored 11 with one 3-pointer.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Jerry Johnson scored a season-high 20 points with six rebounds and five steals, five players scored in double figures and Chattanooga rallied past Hiwassee 95-62 Tuesday night.
David Jean-Baptiste and Donavan Toatley scored 19 points apiece, Justin Brown added 14 more on 7-for-8 shooting with eight rebounds, and Kevin Easley added 11 points for the Mocs (3-5).
South Alabama cools Chattanooga, wins tourney opener 73-54
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Josh Ajayi scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and South Alabama held Chattanooga to under 30 percent shooting from the field as the Jaguars rolled to a 73-54 victory in a first-round game in their own tournament Friday night.
For South Alabama the game marked the first time this season the Jaguars or their opponent has not scored 100 point or more. The Jaguars fell at Auburn, 101-58 in their opener and beat Huntingdon 106-76.
Chattanooga downs Cumberland (TN) 92-61
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Kevin Easley and Thomas Smallwood each scored 18 points and Chattanooga poured it on in the second half to beat Cumberland (TN) 92-61 on Tuesday night.
Chattanooga led 42-32 before the NAIA-member Phoenix got a 3-point play from Ty Sean Powell. Following a layup by Smallwood, Andrew Rogan buried a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 44-38 with 17:16 to play.
