Haas changes F1 car from gray to black-and-gold for 2019
LONDON (AP) — The Haas Formula One team has changed its livery from a metallic gray to a more dynamic black-and-gold for the upcoming season.
Drivers Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen were present at the unveiling of the 2019 VF-19 car and its new sponsor, pulling off the covers at the Royal Automobile Club on Thursday.
The American-owned Haas team, which uses Ferrari engines, made its debut in the 2016 championship.

Team principal Guenther Steiner says "retaining both drivers was a pretty easy decision" because of their experience and the team's higher points total this season.
BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas had the fastest lap on the final day of Formula One testing in Barcelona on Wednesday.
Bottas had a time of 1 minute, 16.904 seconds at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, just ahead of Ferrari reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi.
McLaren's young reserve driver Lando Norris was third fastest.
Force India, Toro Rosso, Haas unveil new cars for F1 season
MONTMELO, Spain (AP) — Force India, Toro Rosso and Haas unveiled their new cars for the 2018 Formula One season shortly before preseason testing began on Monday.
Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon pulled the tarp off Force India's pink-and-white car, dubbed the VJM11.
Perez and Ocon return for Force India after a good 2017, when the team finished fourth in the standings behind Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.

BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — Daniel Ricciardo described Max Verstappen's driving as "amateur" after his Red Bull teammate knocked him out of the Hungarian Grand Prix, while two other drivers were involved in a post-race feud on Sunday.
With the asphalt track temperatures well over 50 degrees Celsius (122 Fahrenheit), the heat in Hungary seemingly got to some drivers.
German driver Nico Hulkenberg was also unhappy with Danish driver Kevin Magnussen.
F1 driver Jolyon Palmer keeps his Renault seat next season
ENSTONE, England (AP) — British driver Jolyon Palmer is keeping his Formula One seat with Renault next season, while Kevin Magnussen needs to find another team in 2017.
Renault confirmed Palmer for next season in a team statement on Wednesday. Having recently hired German driver Nico Hulkenberg on a multi-year deal from Force India, either Palmer or Magnussen had to make way.

SILVERSTONE, England (AP) — German driver Nico Hulkenberg will leave the Force India team at the end of the Formula One season to join French manufacturer Renault.
After Force India announced earlier Friday that the 29-year-old Hulkenberg was going, Renault confirmed he will be arriving next season on a "multi-year" deal. Renault did not elaborate.

GUYANCOURT, France (AP) — Formula One driver Kevin Magnussen expects to compete at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix after medical checks showed no serious injury to his left ankle following a crash at last weekend's Belgian GP.
Magnussen escapes big crash at Belgian GP with small injury
PARIS (AP) — Kevin Magnussen escaped relatively unscathed from a spectacular crash at the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday, although his participation at next weekend's Italian GP could be in doubt.
Magnussen had a small cut to his left ankle and was taken to hospital for an X-ray, Renault team principal Frederic Vasseur said after the race, adding that "things look OK."
