Minnie was 10 of 17 from the field including five from distance for the Eagles (4-1). Paul Jackson added 15 points and four assists and James Thompson IV scored 14 points and led the team with 14 rebounds.

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Paul Jackson scored 20 points with six assists, Boubacar Toure had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Eastern Michigan beat Drexel 66-62 on Friday.
Jackson scored 11 of the Eagles' opening 18 points of the second half. EMU led 62-57 with 2:13 remaining, but Trevor John's 3-pointer tied it a minute later. Toure dunked it on EMU's next possession, was fouled on a defensive rebound and sank two free throws to seal it.
CLEVELAND (AP) — Marreon Jackson scored 26 points and the go-ahead 3-pointer with nine seconds left and No. 2 seed Toledo beat No. 3 seed Eastern Michigan 64-63 Friday night to advance to the Mid-American Conference championship game.

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Paul Jackson and Kevin McAdoo scored 12 points apiece and Eastern Michigan wrapped up its nonleague season with a 67-48 win over NAIA Rochester on Friday.
The Eagles (9-4), who are 10-0 against the Royals over the past seven seasons, took charge give minutes into the game with an 11-3 run making it 19- midway through the first half. A14-4 run pushed it up to double figures before the Eagles scored the last seven points of the half for a 45-22 lead.
Eastern Michigan tops Spring Arbor in 1st D1 game of season
YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Elijah Minnie scored 22 points, James Thompson IV had 10 points and 14 rebounds, and Eastern Michigan beat NAIA Spring Arbor 92-60 on Friday in the first Division I college basketball game of the season.
Zach Medendorp scored the nation's first points as Spring Arbor took an early 6-2 lead.
