FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have declined contract options on safety Terrence Brooks, defensive tackle Mike Pennel and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis.
Jets place Enunwa, Claiborne, Pierre-Louis on IR
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have placed wide receiver Quincy Enunwa, cornerback Morris Claiborne and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis on injured reserve a day before the team's season finale at New England.
All three players had been previously ruled out for the game against the Patriots.
The Jets also announced Saturday they activated defensive back Brandon Bryant, wide receiver J.J. Jones and defensive tackle Destiny Vaeao from the practice squad to fill the roster spots.
Jets without WR Quincy Enunwa for second straight week
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa will miss his second straight game because of an ankle injury.
Enunwa is tied with Robby Anderson for the team lead with 38 catches, but has just nine receptions in the Jets' last four games. He sat out against Houston last Saturday after hurting his ankle at Buffalo.
Texans, Jets both down starting WRs for game
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The Texans and Jets will be without starting wide receivers, with Houston's Keke Coutee and New York's Quincy Enunwa inactive because of injuries.
Both Coutee (hamstring) and Enunwa (ankle) had been previously ruled out for the game Saturday.
Texans wide receiver Vyncint Smith is also inactive, as are running back D'Onta Foreman, cornerback Deante Burton, offensive tackle Roderick Johnson and defensive ends Carlos Watkins and Joel Heath.
Jets injured WRs Anderson, Enunwa closer to returning
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets wide receivers Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa are moving closer to returning from their ankle injuries and are listed as questionable to play at Miami on Sunday.
Both were limited participants at practice Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. Coach Todd Bowles says the team's top two receivers will be game-time decisions.
Anderson missed last Sunday's game at Chicago; Enunwa has been sidelined two games.
Jets’ Buster Skrine out, Trumaine Johnson doubtful vs. Colts
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets' secondary will be without a few key members against the Indianapolis Colts.
Cornerback Buster Skrine has been ruled out for Sunday with a concussion. Fellow cornerback Trumaine Johnson is listed Friday as doubtful with a quadriceps injury that sidelined him last Sunday against Denver.
Rookie Parry Nickerson could fill Skrine's nickel spot, while Darryl Roberts and Rashard Robinson could see time in the base defense in Johnson's place.
Jets cut 18, including veteran LBs David Bass, Kevin Minter
NEW YORK (AP) — The Jets have cut 18 players, including veteran linebackers David Bass and Kevin Minter, to pare their roster to 71.
New York has until 4 p.m. EDT on Saturday to reach the NFL's 53-man limit.
Safety Rontez Miles, on the physically unable to perform list, is expected to be moved to the regular-season PUP list and clear another spot.

Jets LB Kevin Pierre-Louis suspended 1 game by NFL
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis has been suspended by the NFL for the first game of the regular season without pay for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Pierre-Louis was arrested and charged in January with several misdemeanors, including possession of marijuana, after a traffic stop in suburban Kansas City. In March, he reached a plea deal in which the marijuana possession charge would be dropped if he completes a one-year probation.
Jets sign linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis to 2-year deal
NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Jets have signed linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis to a two-year contract.
Pierre-Louis adds depth at inside linebacker and on special teams for the Jets, who announced the signing Friday.
The 26-year-old Pierre-Louis has 84 career tackles in parts of four seasons with Seattle and Kansas City.

Chiefs’ Pierre-Louis charged with drug, traffic misdemeanors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Chiefs linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis has been charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, THC and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in suburban Kansas City on Thursday night.
Pierre-Louis also was charged with driving without a valid license and failure to display a valid plate or current registration. He pleaded not guilty to all charges in Johnson County District Court on Friday and was released after posting $2,500 bond.
Chargers cornerback Hayward active for game vs Chiefs
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Chargers cornerback Casey Hayward is active for Los Angeles' crucial AFC West showdown Saturday night with the Kansas City Chiefs after a calf injury landed him on this week's injury report.
Hayward had been questionable for the matchup between 7-6 teams tied atop the division.
Chiefs defensive end Tamba Hali is active after missing practice with his chronically ailing knees, while linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (quad) and safety Eric Murray (ankle) are also available.
Chiefs and Seahawks swap linebackers
RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Kansas City and Seattle have swapped linebackers, with D.J. Alexander joining the Seahawks and Kevin Pierre-Louis being sent to the Chiefs.
The clubs made the trade Friday on the cusp of training camp for both teams.
Alexander was a Pro Bowl selection last season as a special teams player for the Chiefs and played sparingly on defense. He had 16 total tackles in the regular season on defense and made one start.
