DETROIT (AP) — Freshman Loudon Love scored 17, Grant Benzinger hit four 3-pointers and finished with 15 points and nine rebounds and Wright State beat Green Bay 87-72 on Saturday to advance to the Horizon League Tournament semifinals.
Love was 7-of-12 shooting and Benzinger hit all five of his field-goal attempts as the Raiders shot 52 percent. Cole Gentry had 16 points, Everett Winchester added 15 and Jaylon Hall and Mark Hughes scored 10 apiece for No. 2 seed Wright State (23-9).
DETROIT (AP) — Kameron Hankerson poured in 36 points with seven 3-pointers, both career highs, and No. 7 seed Green Bay defeated tenth-seeded Detroit Mercy 93-81 on the opening day of the Horizon League Tournament on Friday.
Green Bay (13-19), which has scored 90 points or better in its last three games, advances to meet second-seeded Wright State (22-9) in Saturday's quarterfinal round.
Small, Cohen help Green Bay defeat Detroit 107-97
DETROIT (AP) — Khalil Small scored 26 points with 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals, Sandy Cohen added 31 points and Green Bay raced out of the regular season with a 107-97 defeat of Detroit Mercy on Saturday.
Cohen scores 36 points; Green Bay beats Oakland 96-90
ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Sandy Cohen III scored a career-high 36 points to lead Green Bay to a 96-90 victory against Oakland on Thursday night to snap a four-game skid.
Oakland (17-13, 9-8 Horizon League) led 84-77 with 4:33 remaining. Cohen scored nine points and Khalil Small had six as Green Bay (11-19, 6-11 Horizon League) closed the game on a 19-6 surge.
Northern Kentucky takes Horizon lead, beats Green Bay 86-80
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) — Tyler Sharpe hit two 3-pointers in the closing minutes Saturday night to secure Northern Kentucky's fifth straight win, an 86-80 victory over Green Bay that moved the Norse into sole possession of first-place in the Horizon League.
Northern Kentucky entered the game tied with Wright State for first place, but the Raiders were upset by Milwaukee, 74-73, leaving the Norse alone in first place.
Barrage of 3s helps Wright State to 68-64 win over Green Bay
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Grant Benzinger and Jaylon Hall each hit back-to-back 3-pointers as Wright State made up an 11-point gap in less than two minutes and then held off an upset-minded Green bay 68-64 Thursday night.
Wright State remains tied atop the Horizon League with Northern Kentucky, which was also taken to the wire Thursday, eking out a 54-52 win over Milwaukee.
Nze’s career night leads Milwaukee over Green Bay 76-58
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Bryce Nze had a career-high 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting to go with 10 rebounds on Friday night and Milwaukee beat Green Bay 76-58.
Carson Warren-Newsome added 12 points and Jeremiah Bell scored 11 for the Panthers (13-13, 6-7 Horizon League).
Milwaukee led by double digits for the entire second half except once when the Phoenix (10-16, 5-8) trailed 34-25 on Khalil Small's jumper in the first minute of the period.
Small scores 27 and Green Bay beats Penguins 85-67
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Khalil Small scored 27 points with seven rebounds and Green Bay beat Youngstown State 85-67 on Saturday.
Small was just 2 of 8 from the arc but 8 of 13 otherwise and reached 20 points for the ninth time this season. He also had four assists and three steals. The senior guard was three points shy of his career high of 30 that came against Cleveland State on Jan. 6.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Khalil Small scored 25 points and Green Bay defeated Cleveland State 66-44 on Thursday night.
Small moved up four spots to No. 20 on the all-time Phoenix career scoring list with 1,158 points while Green Bay allowed the fewest points by any of their Division I opponents this season.
Hunter Crist added 12 points and Manny Patterson had 11 points and 13 rebounds for his first career double-double.
Northern Kentucky turns away Green Bay 77-65
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Lavone Holland II scored 16 points, including a pair of baskets that blunted a Green Bay rally, and Northern Kentucky beat the Phoenix 77-65 on Saturday.
After Green Bay got within five with 6:11 to go, Holland made consecutive baskets, Tyler Sharpe added another and Drew McDonald a 3-pointer in 9-0 run.
Wright State undefeated in Horizon, beats Green Bay 80-67
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Cole Gentry scored 23 points, Loudon Love had 12 points and 14 rebounds, and Wright State beat Green Bay 80-67 on Thursday night to remain undefeated in the Horizon League.
Wright State (15-5, 7-0) has won eight straight, its longest streak since winning 11 in a row during the 2007-08 season. Green Bay (8-14, 3-6) has lost six of its last seven.
Hankerson scores 24, Green Bay tops Milwaukee 99-92 in OT
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Kameron Hankerson came off the bench to score a career-high 24 points, including the tie-breaking 3-pointer with 38.7 seconds left in overtime, and Green Bay defeated Milwaukee 99-92 on Monday night.
Hankerson grabbed the rebound after a Milwaukee miss and made two free throws with 21.3 seconds remaining to make it 97-92. Sandy Cohen III, who finished with a career-high 29 points and 10 rebounds, added two free throws with 9.2 seconds left.
Dixson scores 23; UIC cruises in 84-73 win over Green Bay
CHICAGO (AP) — Dikembe Dixson scored 23 points to lead Illinois-Chicago over Green Bay 84-73 on Wednesday night.
UIC (7-10, 2-2 Horizon League) has won four of its last five home games while Green Bay (7-12, 2-4) has lost four straight.
Dixson made 10 of 12 field goals, including three 3-pointers. Marcus Ottey and Godwin Boahen added 16 points apiece, and Jordan Blount chipped in 13. The Flames finished with a season-high 20 assists, led by a career-best 12 from Tarkus Ferguson.
Youngstown State wins 85-74, goes to 3-0 in Horizon
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Braun Hartfield scored 21 points, Cameron Morse 19 and Garrett Covington 17 and Youngstown State rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to beat Green Bay 85-74 on Saturday night.

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Aaron Brennan scored 11 points and made key free throws late to help IUPUI hold off Green Bay for a 67-63 victory on Tuesday night.
IUPUI (4-10, 1-2 Horizon League) had a 61-53 lead with 1:55 to play. Sandy Cohen III made a pair of free throws, David Jesperson hit a jumper and PJ Pipes converted a 3-point play during a 7-1 surge to pull Green Bay (7-9, 2-1) to 62-60 with 36 seconds left. Khalil Small finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Phoenix (6-8), while reserve Sukhjot Bains scored a career-high 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting with six boards. PJ Pipes scored 13 and David Jesperson added 11 points and six rebounds.
Caldwell-Turner show puts Bowling Green past Green Bay in OT
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Rodrick Caldwell and Justin Turner each scored 21 points and Bowling Green beat Green Bay 81-78 in overtime Thursday night.
Caldwell made a 3-pointer in overtime and all six of his free throws — four in the last 15 seconds — to secure the win. He missed just one of 11 free throws for the game.
Turner started the extra period with a pair of free throws and his layup with 4:05 left gave Bowling Green (8-4) the lead for good.
Green Bay cruises to 108-64 win over Rockford behind Small
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Khalil Small sank five 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 29 points to help Green Bay to a 108-64 win over Division III Rockford on Monday night.
Green Bay (5-6) went scoreless for nearly two minutes after the opening buzzer as Rockford raced to a 7-0 lead but then dug in for an 11-3 run capped with Small's jumper. Rockford got two quick layups to retake the advantage, 14-11, five minutes into the game but then Green Bay took over.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Sukhjot Bains sank a layup with 21 seconds left to give Green Bay a 59-57 victory over Eastern Illinois on Wednesday night.
The Phoenix (3-4) trailed by six with 1:45 to play when Khalil Small made a 3-pointer to make it 57-54. On the break, Bains stole the ball from the Panthers' Montell Goodwin, then sank a 3 to tie it 57-all with 1:18 left. He followed that with the winning layup with 21 seconds remaining.
Green Bay stops Florida A&M from the free-throw line, 57-50
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Khalil Small made 11 of 12 from the free-throw line and scored 16 points to lead Green Bay to a 57-50 win over Florida A&M on Friday night, leaving the Rattlers 0-5 on the road to start the season.
The Phoenix made bank from the line, hitting 24 of 29 attempts (82.8 percent) and are now 95 of 117 from the line through four games. Green Bay continued to vigorously defend the 3, holding Florida A&M to just 1 of 14 from behind the arc.
Mississippi State beats Green Bay 77-68 behind Ado
STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Freshman Abdul Ado recorded his first double-double on Monday and led Mississippi State to a 77-68 win over Green Bay.
Ado had 12 points and 11 rebounds and the Bulldogs improved to 3-0. It is the best start for Mississippi State since starting 5-0 in the 2014-15 season. Lamar Peters had a game-high 18 points for Mississippi State while Aric Holman and Nick Weatherspoon had 13 and 10, respectively.

ASHWAUBENA, Wis. (AP) — Kameron Hankerson scored 17 points, Khalil Small added 13 plus a career-high dozen rebounds with six assists and all 11 players scored as Green Bay defeated Division III Lakeland 98-27 Friday night.
Green Bay (1-1) opened on an 11-0 run and Lakeland didn't score until nearly five minutes had elapsed.
Bradley’s 28 PTs sends N. Illinois past Green Bay 85-65
DEKALB, Ill. (AP) — Levi Bradley scored 28 points on 10-of-14 shooting, Eugene German scored 21 points and collected nine rebounds and Northern Illinois put together an 85-65 win over Green Bay on Tuesday night in the season opener for both teams.
Dante Thorpe contributed 14 points and Lacey James scored 10 and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Huskies.
