RB Khiry Robinson among tryouts at Jets rookie camp
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Khiry Robinson is trying to make another comeback.
The veteran running back, who broke his right leg at the end of last season for the third time in a 13-month span, is one of 39 tryout players, including quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, at Jets rookie minicamp this weekend.
"We just wanted to see where he was physically," coach Todd Bowles said of Robinson after practice Friday.

Jets’ Khiry Robinson on IR after breaking leg for 3rd time
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have placed running back Khiry Robinson on injured reserve after he broke his right leg for the third time in 13 months.
Robinson was injured last Saturday in his first game back since breaking the leg in the preseason finale at Philadelphia in September. He was waived/injured on Sept. 4 and re-signed with the Jets on Dec. 7.
Robinson first injured the leg while playing for New Orleans against the Giants on Nov. 1, 2015.
Matt Forte (knee, shoulder) doubtful for Jets vs. Patriots
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets running back Matt Forte is doubtful to play against the New England Patriots on Saturday because of knee and shoulder injuries.
Forte has a torn meniscus in his right knee, which he played through last week. He ran for 21 yards on four carries and had a 7-yard reception while spelling Bilal Powell in New York's 34-13 loss to Miami, but he also injured a shoulder during the game.

Forte worked out on the field before the game Saturday night and was deemed OK to play. He was a game-time decision after injuring his knee early in New York's 23-17 overtime win at San Francisco last Sunday.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets running back Matt Forte practiced on a limited basis and will likely be a game-time decision against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night.
Forte sat out practice Wednesday with an injured right knee, but was able to participate in some of Thursday's session. That's an encouraging sign for the 31-year-old running back who leads the Jets with 792 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.

Linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin, wide receiver Jalin Marshall, cornerback Antonio Allen and running back Khiry Robinson also will not play because of injuries. Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson is questionable to play with an injured ankle.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets signed running back Khiry Robinson, who was waived/injured in September, and promoted running back Brandon Wilds from the practice squad Wednesday.
The team also claimed linebacker Arthur Brown on waivers from Jacksonville, waived/injured linebacker Julian Stanford and signed defensive lineman Claude Pelon to the practice squad.

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Jets are heading into the first week of the regular season with four tight ends, four quarterbacks — and a handful of new faces.
A day after setting its initial 53-man roster, the team claimed four players off waivers on Sunday, including tight ends Braedon Bowman from Jacksonville and Brian Parker from Kansas City, running back Troymaine Pope from Seattle and cornerback Darryl Roberts from New England.
Jets sign RB Seastrunk, waive/injured RB Tucker
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have signed running back Lache Seastrunk and waived/injured running back Matthew Tucker.
Seastrunk was a sixth-round draft pick by Washington out of Baylor in 2014 and was a final cut of the Redskins that summer. He has also spent time with Carolina, Tennessee and Dallas, as well as the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets made the re-signing of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick official, announcing the move less than 10 minutes before the start of the team's first practice of training camp.
Fitzpatrick and the Jets agreed to a one-year deal worth $12 million guaranteed on Wednesday night. The Jets tweeted out a picture of Fitzpatrick signing his deal, and the quarterback is on the field participating in practice Thursday.
