DETROIT (AP) — Kyle Brodziak didn't remember the last time he scored a goal for Edmonton. Back with the Oilers this season after nine years away, he got two Saturday night.
Brodziak scored his first two goals of the season and star center Connor McDavid ran his point streak to seven games in the Oilers' 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
Blues hand Kings worst defeat of season, 7-2
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The goals would not come, the losses mounted and the St. Louis Blues appeared trapped in a spiral.
They desperately needed something to turn their season — and playoff hopes — around. They might have found just that in a 7-2 demolishing of the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
"It took a toll on them, not scoring," Blues goalie Jake Allen said. "We needed one of those games. I don't know when the last time was we had a game like that."
Crosby scores 400th goal as Penguins beat Blues 4-1
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Sidney Crosby scored twice, including his 400th career goal, and the Pittsburgh Penguins pulled away from the St. Louis Blues for a 4-1 victory on Sunday.
Bryan Rust snapped a tie with a third-period tally and Riley Sheahan also scored for the Penguins, who have won 12 of 17. Matt Murray made 33 saves.
Kyle Brodziak scored for St. Louis, which had won two in a row. Jake Allen had 19 stops.
Penguins center Sidney Crosby reaches 400-goal milestone
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby scored his 400th career goal early in the second period against St. Louis.
Crosby muscled a shot past goalie Jake Allen from the left side of the net at 3:31. The goal came 21 seconds after St. Louis' Kyle Brodziak opened the scoring.
Crosby becomes the 25th player in NHL history to have 400 goals and 650 assists.
Scottie Upshall breaks tie, Blue beat Hurricanes 3-2
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Scottie Upshall fit in quite nicely when he was moved to the top line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Brayden Schenn at the start of the third period.
Upshall broke a tie midway through the third and the St. Louis Blues held off the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 on Saturday night. Upshall took a pass from Brayden Schenn and beat goalie Scott Darling between the legs for his sixth goal of the season and first in 11 games.
Brodziak lifts Blues over Canucks 3-1 to end skid
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — The Blues finally got a win in Western Canada.
Kyle Brodziak had a goal and an assist, and St. Louis snapped a three-game skid with a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
Patrik Berglund and Alexander Steen also scored for St. Louis, which got 30 saves from Jake Allen.
Brock Boeser got his team-leading 20th goal for Vancouver. Jacob Markstrom stopped 31 shots.
The Blues had dropped three straight in regulation on a trip through Western Canada.
Jaden Schwartz scores twice, Blues beat Wild 6-3
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Jaden Schwartz has been putting on a show for St. Louis Blues fans all season.
On Saturday night, he put one on for his parents.
Schwartz scored twice and Kyle Brodziak added a short-handed goal in the St. Louis Blues' 6-3 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
"It's really nice having them here," Schwartz said about his parents. "They love visiting. They're here for a week and they made some good meals and I tried to reward them with a couple of goals."
Monahan’s OT winner lifts Flames past Blues 3-2
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Sean Monahan likes working overtime. The Calgary Flames forward proved it again Saturday night.
Monahan scored with 3 seconds left in overtime, lifting the Flames past the St. Louis Blues 3-2. Troy Brouwer and Matt Bartkowski also scored for the Flames, who improved to 13-4 in overtime this season. Brian Elliott made 29 saves.
Monahan's winning goal deflected off of Blues forward Kyle Brodziak. It was his third goal in his last four games.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Magnus Paajarvi has used a newfound wave of confidence to solidify his spot in the lineup and help the St. Louis Blues go on a strong run.
Paajarvi scored twice to lead the Blues to a 4-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. St. Louis has won 14 of 20 since Feb. 7 after Paajarvi was recalled from Chicago of the AHL.
Hinostraza scores tiebreaker, Blackhawks beat Blues 6-4
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Vinnie Hinostroza picked a great time for his second NHL goal.
Hinostroza scored the tiebreaking goal with 4:25 left in regulation to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 6-4 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.
Patrick Kane broke out of a 10-game goal-scoring drought as the Blackhawks won their fourth straight.

Blues open NHL preseason with 2 wins against Blue Jackets
Pheonix Copley and Jordan Binnington combined for 23 saves to help the St. Louis Blues beat the Blue Jackets 5-0 Sunday night in Columbus, Ohio, to complete a sweep of the teams' two split-squad games on the opening day of the NHL preseason.
Binnington made 12 saves in his 31 minutes, 19 seconds, and Copley stopped the 11 shots he faced in 28:41.
T.J. Galiardi, Ty Rattie, Kyle Brodziak, Eric Nostrum and Jordan Kyrou scored for St. Louis.
