Alabama Supreme Court won’t move lawsuit against Roy Moore
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — The Alabama Supreme Court on Friday refused to transfer a defamation lawsuit against former U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore by a woman who says Moore molested her decades ago.
The court denied Moore's request to have the case heard in Etowah County instead of Montgomery. Moore issued a statement calling the decision "ridiculous."

A Montgomery judge on Monday gave Leigh Corfman, the plaintiff in the case, two weeks to respond to Moore's request for a change of venue.
In a motion filed Friday, Moore's attorneys said the lawsuit should play out in Etowah County, "where the underlying events are alleged to have occurred."
