Chief Daniel Doyle of the Tullytown police department said the suspect fled the Walmart store at Levittown Town Center early Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said he ran a red light and collided with two other vehicles. A 2-year-old boy thrown from the vehicle was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Fifty-two-year-old Robin Soto and 25-year-old Chasidy Ramos were arrested Tuesday on robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery charges stemming from the Nov. 15 incident.

Officials announced over the weekend 59-year-old David Mathias III suffered a major mental health breakdown when he attacked the 45-year-old with a knife as she slept in her Levittown home last month.
The woman gained control of the knife and stabbed Mathis. He had moved out of the home weeks earlier.
