CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) — Onno Steger scored 25 points and Matt Halvorsen added 24 points as Western Carolina beat the Citadel 103-82 on Saturday, snapping a four-game skid.
Steger and Halvorsen were both 6 of 9 from beyond the 3-point arc for the Catamounts (7-21, 4-11 Southern Conference), who hit 19 of 30 3-pointers overall, a season-high. Marc Gosselin had 18 points and six rebounds and Marcus Thomas had 13 points and six rebounds.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) — Isaiah Tisdale scored a career-best 29 points and made six free throws in the last 35 seconds as East Tennessee State fended off The Citadel 91-83 Thursday night.
Tisdale scored 20 of his 29 points after halftime and, despite being a 61 percent free-throw shooter, calmly sank six in a row after The Citadel had cut the ETSU lead to 83-80 on a couple of free throws by Hayden Brown.

MACON, Ga. (AP) — Lew Stallworth had 27 points as The Citadel beat Mercer 67-61 on Saturday.
Kaiden Rice had 11 points for The Citadel (11-12, 3-9 Southern Conference), which broke its five-game road losing streak. Hayden Brown added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Zane Najdawi, the Bulldogs' second leading scorer entering the matchup at 14 points per game, shot only 17 percent for the game (1 of 6).
4 Terriers hit 4 3-pointers each in 99-61 win
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Fletcher McGee scored 20 points and was one of four Terriers to made four 3-pointers as Southern Conference leader Wofford rolled to its 10th straight victory, beating The Citadel 99-61 on Saturday.
Also making four 3-pointers were Tray Hollowell with 13 points and Storm Murphy and Nathan Hoover with 12 points each. The Terriers made a season-high 20 of 33 3-point attempts for 61 percent. They were 13 of 23 inside the arc.
Stallworth scores 29, Williams beats buzzer in Citadel win
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Quayson Williams drove the length of the court for the winning layup as time expired and The Citadel defeated rival VMI 84-82 on Saturday.
VMI's Garrett Gilkeson grabbed an offensive rebound and missed the follow-up in heavy traffic with four seconds remaining. The Citadel's Zane Najdawi grabbed that rebound and threw a short outlet to Williams who raced to the other end for his only points of the game.
Chattanooga edges The Citadel 73-71 behind Easley
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Kevin Easley had 22 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer late, and 12 rebounds and Chattanooga held off The Citadel 73-71 on Saturday to win its third straight.
Chattanooga led 41-32 at halftime, but the Bulldogs closed to 45-43 on an 11-0 run early in the second half before taking a 60-58 lead on Lew Stallworth's 3-pointer with 7:22 to go. The lead traded hands until Easley's 3 gave the Mocs a 70-69 lead with 56 seconds to go.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Kameron Gibson and Matt Halvorsen each scored 16 points, Carlos Dotson grabbed 14 rebounds and Western Carolina beat The Citadel 94-82 on Saturday.
The Catamounts (5-14, 2-4 Southern Conference) built a 27-10 lead in the first 10 minutes and never trailed. Halvorsen wrapped up scoring at the end of the half with three foul shots after getting fouled on a 3-point attempt for a 47-35 lead.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Daivien Williamson scored a career-high 24 points Thursday night and Jeromy Rodriguez had his 10th double-double of the season to help ETSU beat The Citadel 98-73 for its sixth win in a row.

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Matt Frierson scored 24 points, including five 3-pointers, Lew Stallworth and Zane Najdawi each had a double-double, and The Citadel beat Campbell 82-76 on Tuesday night.
Frierson became the program's career leader in 3-pointers attempted with 733 and he is second all-time with 276 made 3s — 19 less than mark set by Zach Urbanus (2007-11). Stallworth finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists and Najdawi had 17 points and 13 rebounds.

CHARELESTON, S.C. (AP) — Zane Najdawi scored 23 points and missed just two shots and grabbed 10 rebounds and The Citadel beat Division III-member Johnson & Wales 127-93 on Wednesday night.
Najdawi was 10-for-12 shooting in a little more than a half of action and Lew Stallworth finished with 19 points and tied a career-high 10 assists. Zane Najdawi hit a jumper, Reed made his 3, and the Bulldogs scored five straight for an 83-76 lead on Stallworth's jumper with 46 seconds left. The Dukes closed to 83-79 with 33 seconds left, but were outscored 6-3 from there and Reed's two free throws iced it.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Matt Frierson scored 30 points on 10 3-pointers, Lew Stallworth scored 13 points with 13 assists and The Citadel raced away from Johnson University 137-60 Wednesday night.
Six Bulldogs scored in double figures in the lopsided contest. Zane Najdawi scored 18 points, making 10 of 10 at the foul line, Haden Brown added 15, Connor Kern 14 points with three 3-pointers, and Kaiden Rice added 11.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Richaud Gittens led five Seattle players in double figures with 17 points and the fourth-seeded Redhawks beat No. 5 seed UT Rio Grande Valley 77-60 Thursday night in the first round of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament.
Seattle (20-12) will play top-seeded New Mexico in a semifinal game on Friday.
Dixon leads UT Rio Grande Valley over Chicago State 83-75
EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Nick Dixon scored 23 points and Texas-Rio Grande Valley beat Chicago State 83-75 on Saturday night.
UTRGV (15-15, 6-7 Western Athletic Conference) snapped a three-game skid. Chicago State (2-27, 0-13) remains winless in the conference.
Dixon was 5-of-12 shooting and made 12 of 13 free throws. Lew Stallworth added 14 points, and Javon Levi and Lesley Varner Jr. chipped in 10 points apiece for the Vaqueros. Terry Winn had a game-high 16 rebounds.

EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Aaron Menzies scored 21 points with 15 rebounds and made the go-ahead jump shot with 2:03 left in overtime and Seattle beat UT Rio Grande Valley 78-76 on Saturday night.
Menzies jumper made it 78-76 after Terry Winn tied it 30 seconds earlier with a pair of free throws. The Vaqueros missed their last six shots. Morgan Means made 1 of 2 free throws with four seconds left and Lew Stallworth missed a chance to tie it at the buzzer.
UT Rio Grande Valley beats Our Lady of the Lake 96-75
EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Xavier McDaniel Jr. scored 17 points to lead seven UT Rio Grande Valley players in double-digit scoring and the Vaqueros beat NAIA Our Lady of the Lake 96-75 on Tuesday night.
Terry Winn scored 14 points with 10 rebounds for Rio Grande Valley (8-8), which outrebounded the Saints 51-34 and never trailed.
