Bar accused of over-serving driver in fatal DUI crash
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Lexington officials are accusing a bar of over-serving a customer who was involved in a fatal DUI crash last month.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports Horseshoes Kentucky Grill & Saloon was issued a show cause order Thursday by the Lexington Alcoholic Beverage Control Office. Investigators say the bar in January overserved 41-year-old Joey Lee Bailey, who had also been drinking at another bar that night.

News outlets report the Davidson County Sheriff's Office says two bodies were discovered inside a burned-out mobile home on Dec. 27, adding the victims had been shot and killed and their bodies doused in an accelerant to hide the crime.

Small plane crashed near Lexington, no one hurt

The Lexington Fire Department and police responded to Calumet Farm Saturday afternoon, after a small craft went down.
The Herald-Leader reports two people were on board the plane and appeared to have only minor injuries, according to Lexington Police.

Police called to shutdown protest at McConnell office
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Police in Kentucky were called to a protest by a group of federal government workers at a field office for Sen. Mitch McConnell.
The protestors arrived at the Lexington office in hopes of handing off some letters to the senator's staff about the government shutdown, said Chon Jung, an organizer. Jung said it was a "peaceful demonstration" though some protesters banged on windows of the office.
