Livingston Taylor and Karla Bonoff: Teaming up for a vibrant night of music
Two beloved singer-songwriters, Livingston Taylor and Karla Bonoff, are set to perform at Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, April 28.
Taylor, brother of James Taylor, is known for such Top 40 hits as “I Will Be in Love with You” and “I’ll Come Running,” as well as “I Can Dream of You” and “Boatman.” He’s also a full-time professor at Berklee College of Music, where he has taught a stage performance course since 1989.
Massachusetts honors Livingston Taylor with special day
BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts has dubbed this Wednesday "Livingston Taylor Day" in honor of the singer-songwriter.
Taylor will be honored for a half-century of making music in an evening ceremony at the Verb Hotel's Hojoko Restaurant.
Officials say they'll present him with a special proclamation issued by Gov. Charlie Baker and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh.
Livingston Taylor is a natural performer who peppers his shows with warm, often humorous anecdotes, making the audience feel as if he’s an old friend.
And in some cases, he actually is an old friend. That’s what happens when you’ve had a four-decade career as a singer, songwriter and teacher, and you’re still making new music — doing more than 80 shows a year.
