The school announced hirings Thursday. Boone will be the special teams coordinator and coach outside linebackers, while Searels will coach the offensive line. Brown is also retaining running backs coach Robert Gillespie from former coach Larry Fedora's staff.

The school announced the move Sunday.
Bateman spent the past five seasons at Army, with this year's team ranking ninth in total defense by allowing 293.5 yards per game. Bateman joins the staff of new coach Mack Brown, who previously named Tommy Thigpen as the other co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

The junior tweeted his decision Tuesday, saying he is declaring for next spring's draft after meeting with his family.
Ratliff-Williams was the Tar Heels' top big-play threat with his versatility. He had 42 catches for a team-best 689 yards and two touchdowns this season.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — New North Carolina coach Mack Brown is adding former Tar Heels and NFL cornerback Dre' Bly, Tim Brewster and Tim Cross to his staff.
The school announced the hirings Friday, along with the decision to retain Tommy Thigpen from former coach Larry Fedora's staff.
Bly was an All-American under Brown in the 1990s before an 11-year NFL career. He'll coach cornerbacks.
