PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Marcia Clark insists she's not reliving her post-O.J. Simpson trial life in the new series "The Fix."
Clark co-created the ABC show about a character that viewers who followed the Simpson saga will recognize. Robin Tunney stars as a Los Angeles district attorney whose failed prosecution of a famous movie star on trial for double murder derails her career.
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) — If Sarah Paulson didn't have a stylist, she would only wear sweatpants.
The silvery Marc Jacobs sheath she wore to the Golden Globes and the dazzling emerald dress she donned at the Emmys were picked out by a professional.
"My green Prada dress that I wore to the Emmys was so heavy that at one point I thought I was going to throw my neck out," Paulson said. "But it did not matter to me because it was the best dress I've ever had on my body."
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Golden Globes will be handed out Sunday, but many nominees got a practice run through the awards process Friday at the American Film Institute's annual luncheon.
Like the Globes, the AFI Awards celebrate outstanding work in film and television. Unlike the Globes, though, there is no competition: All 11 films and 10 TV shows recognized by AFI are considered winners.
"Moral Defense" (Thomas & Mercer), by Marcia Clark
"Moral Defense" by former Los Angeles prosecutor Marcia Clark has it all: a hard-charging lawyer heroine, tough-as-nails cops, realistic, yet somehow lovable "bad guys," as well as fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants pacing and page-turning twists.
Kerry Washington, always a red carpet favorite, won the Emmys red carpet Sunday, showing off her huge baby bump in a black custom Brandon Maxwell strapless gown with daring cutouts, her hair long, loose and curly.
"She was dressing for two and got the proportions just right," said Rickie De Sole, fashion market director for W magazine.
"It was sexy but not overtly sexy. That's why she's so successful on the red carpet. It was unexpected and fun," De Sole added.
