DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) — Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Marcus Stroman has undergone an MRI exam that found inflammation in his throwing shoulder.
Stroman expects to resume throwing in the next three to five days.
"I know that I'll be back hopefully the very beginning of the season," Stroman said.
Stroman said the MRI exam showed the shoulder is structurally fine.
Stroman angry at Blue Jays over negativity in arbitration
DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) — Toronto pitcher Marcus Stroman met with Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins on Friday, a day after the 26-year old right-hander's salary arbitration loss triggered him to vent on Twitter.
Stroman received a raise from $3.4 million to $6.5 million instead of his $6.9 million request.

Jaime Garcia agrees to $10 million deal with Blue Jays
DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) — Left-hander Jaime Garcia and the Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a $10 million, one-year contract that includes a 2019 team option.
Garcia gets $8 million this year as part of the deal announced Thursday and Toronto has a $10 million option with a $2 million buyout. He can earn an additional $2 million annually in performance bonuses based on innings and would get the full amount at 180.
