HELENA, Mont. (AP) — "Superman" actress Margot Kidder's death has been ruled a suicide, and her daughter said Wednesday it's a relief to finally have the truth out.
Kidder, who played Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve's Superman in her most famous role, was found by a friend in her Montana home on May 13.
At the time, Kidder's manager, Camilla Fluxman Pines, said Kidder died peacefully in her sleep.
NOVI, Mich. (AP) — An array of stars from the superhero universe descended upon a suburban Detroit convention center for the kickoff of an annual pop-culture spectacular.
The 29th annual Motor City Comic Con got underway Friday in Novi, Michigan.
And while the mood inside the Suburban Collection Showplace was one of excitement and anticipation, there also was a bit of sadness, as fans mourned the recent death of "Superman" star Margot Kidder, who was to have appeared at the three-day event.

Chad Franscoviak, who is married to Kidder's only child, Maggie McGuane, gave the family's first public statement Thursday since Kidder's death at her home in Livingston, Montana.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Margot Kidder, the Canadian actress who starred as a salty and cynical Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve in the "Superman" film franchise of the 1970s and 1980s, has died. She was 69.
Kidder's manager Camilla Fluxman Pines said she died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday. Police in Livingston, Montana, said in a statement that officers were called to Kidder's home, where they found her dead. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause, but no foul play is suspected.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Officials say actor John Heard, whose body was found last month in a Northern California hotel, died of cardiac arrest.
The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office said Tuesday an autopsy revealed the 71-year-old actor died "a sudden cardiac death due to atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease."
Heard was found dead July 21 in a hotel in Palo Alto, California. He was recovering from back surgery at Stanford University Medical Center.
