The Casper Star-Tribune reports Scott Talbott announced his retirement Thursday night after working for the department for 34 years. He says "the work has been both incredibly challenging and immensely rewarding," and it has been a joy to work with his colleagues.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A drop in oil prices has dragged down Wyoming's revenue forecasts.
New estimates released Monday by the Consensus Revenue Estimating Group have reduced expected state revenue for 2019-2020 by $125.1 million from its October predictions. In 2021-2022, an additional reduction of $145.4 million is anticipated.
The report did note an increase in sales and use taxes mainly because of activity in the oil and gas sector.

Republican Mark Gordon announced Monday that Betsy Anderson will be general counsel, Buck McVeigh policy director and Renny McKay senior policy adviser.

Wyoming $9M governor’s race among priciest in state history
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The recent race for Wyoming governor was among the most expensive in state history.
The vast majority of the over $9 million raised was raised before the primaries in August. Mark Gordon spent over $2 million to beat five others in the Republican primary.
Gordon went on to raise almost $800,000 ahead of the general election. Democrat Mary Throne raised $165,000 during that time.
Gordon beat Throne, getting over two-thirds of the vote Nov. 6.

Wyoming canvassing board certifies election results
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming State Canvassing Board has certified results of last week's general election.
The action on Wednesday affirms the election of all five statewide elected officials, 75 Wyoming State Legislators, one U.S Senator, one U.S Representative and the retention of 18 state judges.
The State Canvassing Board consists of Gov. Matt Mead, Secretary of State Edward Buchanan, State Auditor Cynthia Cloud and State Treasurer Mark Gordon.
Bethune-Cookman sets scoring record against Trinity Baptist
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Shawntrez Davis scored 18 points, Mark Gordon added 17 and Bethune-Cookman broke a school record with its largest Division I margin of victory, 104-44 over Trinity Baptist on Tuesday night.
The previous school record was 56 points against Morris Brown in 1996.

Gov.-elect Gordon names transition team co-chairs
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming Gov.-elect Mark Gordon has named co-chairs to lead his transition committee.
Gordon announced Tuesday that Pat Arp, the current Wyoming Deputy State Treasurer, and Gale Geringer, who was Gordon's campaign manager, will serve as co-chairs of his transition team.
Arp and Geringer will assist Gordon in setting up his gubernatorial office, guide staffing decisions, administrative procedures and initial policy rollouts.
