Q&A: Steve Martin, Martin Short on friendship and a new tour
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Steve Martin and Martin Short are back on the road again for their new tour "Now You See Them, Soon You Won't ."
The two comedy legends spoke to The Associated Press recently about the tour, which kicks off its 2019 leg on Jan. 12 in Atlanta, their friendship and when they knew that roasting each other was OK.
NEW YORK (AP) — Martin Scorsese will direct a comedy special for Netflix on the beloved Canadian sketch comedy show "SCTV."
Netflix on Thursday announced the untitled project that will reunite many of the stars of the 1976-1984 show. Former cast mates Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Dave Thomas, Joe Flaherty and Andrea Martin will reassemble at Toronto's Elgin Theatre on May 13 for an event moderated by Jimmy Kimmel, to be documented by Scorsese.

WASHINGTON (AP) — It was late October 2017 and a packed house of VIPs had gathered at Washington's Kennedy Center to watch David Letterman receive the Mark Twain award for a career in comedy. A stream of comedians took the stage to sing Letterman's praises, and several couldn't resist taking good-natured shots at the crowd.
Martin Short deadpanned, "It says a lot about America when people from different white backgrounds can gather together like this."

Together the two “Saturday Night Live” alumni, who first met as leads in the 1986 film classic “Three Amigos,” are serving up double doses of comedy with a side of bluegrass music by The Steep Canyon Rangers at the Bushnell in Hartford on Saturday, Feb. 17. “An Evening You Will Forget the Rest of Your Life” will include stand-up, film clips, music and just conversations about their lives in show business. The summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra announced Monday that Stephen Stills and Judy Collins are scheduled to perform their recent album "Everybody Knows" on June 17. The pair has had a friendship for 50 years.

Canadian ‘SNL’ and ‘SCTV’ alum Tony Rosato dies at age 62
TORONTO (AP) — Canadian actor Tony Rosato has died at age 62.
He was a veteran of comedy shows including "Saturday Night Live" and Canada's homegrown "SCTV."
Rosato's former agent Larry Goldhar has confirmed that Rosato died Tuesday. Goldhar says an autopsy is being done.
