BOSTON (AP) — Brad Marchand has a knack for the net in overtime. A lucky bounce helped him get another winner for the Bruins on Sunday.
Marchand scored 4:03 into the extra period after his shot deflected off an opponent's skate, extending Boston's points streak to seven games with a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
Roussel, Virtanen lead Canucks to 5-1 win over Avalanche
DENVER (AP) — The Vancouver Canucks were refreshed after a nine-day break. The Colorado Avalanche looked like the same team that stumbled into its hiatus.
Jake Virtanen and Antoine Roussel each had a goal and an assist as the Canucks raced to an early lead and defeated Colorado 5-1 Saturday night.
Flyers top Wild 7-4 for 2nd victory in last 11 games
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — James van Riemsdyk recorded a hat trick, and Nolan Patrick had two goals and two assists to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 7-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.
Wayne Simmonds also had two goals for the Flyers. Carter Hart had 34 saves.
It was just the second win in the last 11 games for Philadelphia, which began Monday with the fewest points in the league.
Jason Zucker, Marcus Foligno, Joel Eriksson Ek and Ryan Suter scored for Minnesota.
Soderberg’s 1st hat trick leads Avalanche past Leafs 6-3
TORONTO (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche caught the Toronto Maple Leafs in a lull and took full advantage.
Carl Soderberg had his first career hat trick and the Avalanche defeated the Maple Leafs 6-3 on Monday night.
Gabriel Landeskog, Mikko Rantanen and Matt Calvert also scored for Colorado, which had lost nine of its last 10 games overall (1-7-2), and seven straight in regulation on the road.
Semyon Varlamov stopped 17 shots for the Avalanche.
Nugent-Hopkins scores twice to help Oilers beat Avs 6-4
DENVER (AP) — The Edmonton Oilers broke the ice with a four-goal second period. As for the shattered glass in the penalty box, it wasn't their fault.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored twice in the decisive second period, Mikko Koskinen stopped 39 shots and the Oilers extended their winning streak to four games with a 6-4 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night.
Red Wings’ Bertuzzi suspended 2 games for hit on Calvert
NEW YORK (AP) — Detroit forward Tyler Bertuzzi was suspended for two games without pay by the NHL on Monday for his hit on Colorado's Matt Calvert during the weekend.
Bertuzzi was sanctioned for roughing and unsportsmanlike conduct for his hit with 7:15 left in the third period of the Avalanche's 2-0 win Sunday. No penalty was called on the play during the game.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sergei Bobrovsky made 54 saves, Matt Calvert scored the winner 12:22 into overtime and the Columbus Blue Jackets overcame two goals from Alex Ovechkin to beat the Washington Capitals 5-4 on Sunday night and take a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series.
Calvert's goal held up after the NHL situation room reviewed the play for a possible offside. Calvert was just onside when Josh Anderson brought the puck into the zone.
The Washington Capitals are halfway to elimination. The possibility of another second-round disappointment has been upgraded to the first round.
Blue Jackets snap losing streak with 6-1 win over Devils
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Artemi Panarin and Oliver Bjorkstrand each had a goal and an assist, and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 35 shots as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the New Jersey Devils 6-1 on Saturday night to snap a five-game losing streak.

Panarin and Oliver Bjorkstrand scored in a shootout, and the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Boston Bruins 4-3 on Monday night after squandering a two-goal lead in the third period.
Columbus has won eight of its first 12 games, a franchise record for October.
Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 27 saves for his sixth win. He also had an assist — the eighth of his career and first this season.
NEW YORK (AP) — Columbus Blue Jackets forward Matt Calvert was suspended one game for his cross-check to Pittsburgh's Tom Kuhnhackl late in the third period of a Game 2 loss to the Penguins.
Calvert will miss Game 3 Sunday. The NHL announced the suspension Saturday night.
Blue Jackets claim Dalpe off waivers from Wild
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed center Zac Dalpe off waivers from the Minnesota Wild.
The 27-year-old Dalpe had a goal and two assists in nine games for the Wild this season. The Blue Jackets claimed him Monday and assigned him to Cleveland of the American Hockey League.

Seth Jones scored twice, Alexander Wennberg had a goal and two assists and the Jackets led by six goals before holding on to beat the New York Rangers 6-4 on Tuesday night.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — The Columbus Blue Jackets started slowly. The way they finished was all that mattered, though.
Sam Gagner had a goal and an assist, and the streaking Blue Jackets won their seventh straight game by beating the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 on Tuesday night.
"I thought the team took a little while to get going. But once we started playing, I thought we had a good second half of the game," Gagner said. "I think we're on a good run here and we want to keep pushing forward."
Calvert’s short-handed goal helps Blue Jackets beat Rangers
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Matt Calvert was beaming in the Columbus Blue Jackes' locker room after scoring the winning goal with a bandaged forehead hiding about 30 stitches.
Calvert returned from absorbing a slap shot that requird medical attention and scored a short-handed, tiebreaking goal in the third period to lift the Blue Jackets to a franchise-record seventh straight home win, 4-2 over the New York Rangers on Friday night.
