Edwards scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half Saturday and Haarms celebrated his return to the starting lineup with a career-high 18 to lead the Boilermakers past pesky Penn State, 76-64.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Nojel Eastern delivered at both ends of the court, much to the delight of the Purdue fans at Mackey Arena.
Eastern had 10 points, 10 rebounds and stopped star freshman guard Romeo Langford, leading the Boilermakers past No. 25 Indiana 70-55 Saturday.

Carsen Edwards scored 16 of his 21 points in the first half and Purdue beat 25th-ranked Iowa 86-70 on Thursday night to snap the Hawkeyes' five-game winning streak.
Purdue is winless on the road so far, but everything came together at Mackey Arena once again as the Boilermakers won their seventh straight home game this season and ninth in a row dating back to 2017-18.

Carsen Edwards scored 23 points on 8-for-22 shooting, and the 24th-ranked Boilermakers pulled away from Ball State for an 84-75 victory on Saturday night.
Edwards struggled with his shooting stroke at times but managed to contribute in a variety of ways. The junior guard had five rebounds, five assists and blocked a shot.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Purdue forward Jacquil Taylor plans to transfer after he earns his degree in May.
Coach Matt Painter made the announcement Wednesday.
The 6-foot-10 junior will be eligible to play next season and could be granted a second year of eligibility.
Taylor fought injuries throughout his career with the Boilermakers and backed up big men such as Isaac Haas, Matt Haarms and Caleb Swanigan.

On Wednesday night, he went with them out of necessity. If Isaac Haas and Matt Haarms continue playing this well in tandem, they could become a big staple for the defending Big Ten champions.
Haas scored 14 points and Harams grabbed six rebounds and blocked three shots, leading the 13th-ranked Boilermakers to an 82-51 rout over Rutgers for their 10th straight win.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — No. 20 Purdue got 15 first-half points from Dakota Mathias and ran away to a 115-74 season-opening victory over Southern Illinois-Edwarsville on Friday night.
Purdue (1-0) has won its last four season openers by 40, 41, 44 and 41 points.
The Boilermakers, who have appeared in 39 consecutive AP Top 25 polls, shot 59.3 percent in the first half (16 of 27) and used a 17-4 run to erase an early 10-5 deficit.
