Sabres loan Matt Moulson to Kings’ AHL affiliate
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Sabres are shipping Matt Moulson to California to continue playing after the underachieving winger cleared waivers.
The Sabres loaned Moulson to the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League on Tuesday, rather than their nearby affiliate, the Rochester Americans. Ontario is the top minor league affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Evander Kane and the Buffalo Sabres ended a three-week tailspin by rallying from a three-goal deficit to beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-3 on Saturday night.
"We played like we had nothing to lose, and maybe we should start doing that more often," said Kane, who scored the go-ahead goal on a power play with 2:29 remaining.
Lehner makes 39 saves vs former team, Sabres beat Sens 3-2
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Robin Lehner made 39 saves against his former team and Matt Moulson and Justin Bailey scored in the third period to rally the Buffalo Sabres past the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Tuesday night.
Lehner is 4-0-2 against the club that drafted him in the second round of the 2009 NHL draft. He was traded away with David Legwand in June 2015 to Buffalo for the 21st overall pick in that year's draft.
Ryan Spooner scores twice in 3rd, Bruins beat Sabres 4-2
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Ryan Spooner scored twice in the final four minutes and the Boston Bruins beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-2 on Thursday night.
Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci also scored in the opening game of a home-and-home series. Krejci also had an assist, and Tuukka Rask made 31 saves to help the Bruins snap a two-game losing streak.
Rasmus Ristolainen scores in OT, Sabres beat Islanders 3-2
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Rasmus Ristolainen has just two goals this season. Both have been game-winners for the Buffalo Sabres.
The defenseman scored 42 seconds into overtime to give the Sabres a 3-2 comeback victory over the New York Islanders on Friday night.
"I love to play overtime," said Ristolainen, who also scored in the extra period in Buffalo's 4-3 victory over Edmonton on Dec. 6.

O’Reilly’s 4 points lift Sabres over Oilers 6-2
EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Ryan O'Reilly had two goals and two assists and the Buffalo Sabres pounded the Edmonton Oilers 6-2 on Sunday night for their first victory of the season.
Brian Gionta also scored twice, and Kyle Okposo and Matt Moulson had Buffalo's other goals. Robin Lehner made 31 saves.
Benoit Pouliot and Milan Lucic scored for the Oilers, who had won back-to-back games before the loss.
