LOS ANGELES (AP) — Katie Holmes came to "The Kennedys — After Camelot" as a veteran, having played first lady Jacqueline Kennedy in Reelz's 2011 miniseries about the political family shadowed by tragedy. For Matthew Perry, the role of Edward Kennedy was a chance to stretch his acting muscles.
Both say "After Camelot" was as satisfying as they hoped. The four-hour drama, based on J. Randy Taraborrelli's book, debuts 9-11 p.m. EDT Sunday on Reelz and concludes Sunday, April 9.
TORONTO (AP) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has gotten in on the April Fools' Day spirit with a lighthearted tweet aimed at former "Friends" star — and classmate — Matthew Perry.
Justin Trudeau and the actor, who played Chandler Bing on the sitcom, both attended Rockcliffe Park Public School in Ottawa.
In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's late night talk show last month, Perry recounted his memory of beating Trudeau up when they were students.

(AP) — Between a dialect coach who told him to exaggerate the accent and recent experience in a London play that required him to loudly project his voice onstage, Matthew Perry was a little over-the-top when he began filming his role as Sen. Edward Kennedy in a new television miniseries.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ron Howard is among those set to guest star in a tribute to late TV sitcom king Garry Marshall in an episode of "The Odd Couple" next week.
Marshall died in July at 81. He developed the original "Odd Couple" TV series from the 1970s and acted in the current CBS version in an April episode, playing the father of Matthew Perry's character.
