Down to their last shooter, Boston tied the shootout on Marchand's goal. After Calgary's Derek Ryan missed, DeBrusk scored the game-winner.

Calgary signed forward James Neal to a five-year, $28.75 million contract on Monday, giving Johnny Gaudreau and the rest of the Flames a much-needed scoring boost.
Neal has topped 20 goals in each of his 10 NHL seasons, and was considered the top player left on the free-agent market a day after the NHL's signing period opened.

Calgary's power play was in a 2-for-31 slump when coach Glen Gulutzan made some personnel changes to his top unit on Thursday. One move was inserting Tkachuk into the role of net-front presence.
Stamkos leads Lightning past Avalanche 5-2
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Steven Stamkos had a goal and two assists, and the Tampa Bay Lightning became the first NHL team with 20 wins by defeating the Colorado Avalanche 5-2 on Thursday night.
Stamkos, who entered with one goal and two assists over his previous eight games, got his 12th goal early in the first. He also assisted on Vladislav Namestnikov's tiebreaking goal at 8:09 of the second and Alex Killorn's third of the season 4:57 into the third.
Gabriel Landeskog suspended 4 games for cross-check
NEW YORK (AP) — Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog was suspended four games without pay by the NHL on Monday for his cross-check on Calgary's Matthew Tkachuk.
Landeskog was assessed a minor penalty in the first period on Saturday when he hit Tkachuk in the ribs with his stick, pushing the Flames forward into back of the Colorado net. Landeskog then delivered another blow to the head and neck area of Tkachuk.
