BEAU CHAMP, Mauritius (AP) — Kurt Kitayama claimed his first European Tour win at the Mauritius Open on Sunday as he closed with a 4-under 68 for a 2-shot victory.
Kitayama's first European title came in just his third tournament as the American held off Chikkarangappa S and Matthieu Pavon, who both carded 67s to tie for second.
BEAU CHAMP, Mauritius (AP) — Kurt Kitayama and Justin Harding were tied for the lead at 16 under par and held a three-shot advantage heading into the final round of the Mauritius Open on Saturday.
Harding jumped six places to join overnight leader Kitayama out in front after an 8-under 64 in the third round. Kitayama carded a 2-under 70.
Three players were three shots behind at Four Seasons Golf Course; Chikkarangappa S (71), Masahiro Kawamura (67) and Matthieu Pavon (70).

Kitayama moved to 14-under-par overall and ahead of co-overnight leader Chikkarangappa S (68), who was alone in second.
Victor Perez (69), who shared the lead with Chikkarangappa after the first round, was tied for third, with fellow Frenchman Matthieu Pavon (66) a shot further back on 11 under.
DONEGAL, Ireland (AP) — Ryan Fox of New Zealand, Matthieu Pavon of France and Dutch golfer Erik van Rooyen shared the lead after the second round of the Irish Open on Friday, while Danny Willett's return to form catapulted him into contention at Ballyliffin Golf and Country Club.
Willett reached a career-high ranking of ninth after claiming his first major title at the 2016 U.S. Masters, but slumped to 442nd after missing his ninth cut in 12 events at last week's French Open.

The Englishman won the European Tour event, his first title in more than 16 years, when it was held in Scotland in 2016. It is being staged in Germany this year and all four German participants — Florian Fritsch, Maximilian Kiefer, Alexander Knappe and Marcel Siem — advanced.
