LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mattias Markusson scored 22 points to spark Loyola Marymount to a bounce-back, 77-59 win over UC Davis in its final non-conference game on Friday night.
The Lions took just their second loss of the season Saturday, falling 60-53 at UC Riverside. Their 12 nonconference win tops the 11-0 start in 1961-62.
LMU's total against UC Riverside is a season low for a team that averages better than 71 points per game.

Gonzaga’s Josh Perkins earns WCC All-Academic honors for second straight season
Gonzaga junior point guard Josh Perkins has been named to the WCC All-Academic team for the second consecutive season.
Perkins, a Sport Management major, carries a 3.26 accumulative grade-point average.
The Park Hill, Colorado, native is averaging a career-high 13 points per game and recently reached 1,000 career points. He’s seventh in school history with 431 assists and shares ninth place with Dan Dickau with 188 career 3-pointers. He’s closing in on the top 10 in steals with 117.

Eubanks, Oregon State beat Loyola Marymount 78-74
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Last season, Oregon State could hang tight with teams until the final minutes but couldn't close out games, said center Drew Eubanks.
After squandering a double-digit lead in the second half on Saturday, Beaver players stepped up and showed their leadership.
"Last year, we would have lost that game, so it was good to see," Eubanks added.
Eubanks had 22 points, on 10-for-10 shooting, and four blocks as Oregon State held on to beat Loyola Marymount 78-74 on Saturday.
