Body of woman, 60, found after mobile home fire
SPRINGBORO, Pa. (AP) — State police say a mobile home fire claimed the life of a woman in northwestern Pennsylvania.
Police in Meadville said the blaze in Springboro was reported at 11:50 p.m. Saturday.
Fire crews contained the blaze and then found the body of 60-year-old Janice Munsch inside.
Volunteers serve soup in Meadville for decades
MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) — There's a cozy eatery on South Main Street, popular with some and possibly never heard of by others, that's been serving up a lot more than soup for the past 35 years.
"It's meant the world to my life," said Carol Burnheimer, president of the volunteer governing board that oversees Meadville's Soup Kitchen. "I just love to volunteer and the soup kitchen has been a real blessing in my life."

The Crawford County coroner's office says 64-year-old Saegertown resident Charles Burns was injured in the accident Wednesday at the Crawford County Fairgrounds and was pronounced dead 15 minutes later at a hospital.

Some highways closed due to northwestern Pennsylvania floods
MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Several highways and other roads are closed in parts of northwestern Pennsylvania due to flooding caused by heavy rains and runoff.
The state Department of Transportation has listed 20 road closures in Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer and Warren counties Friday morning.
Some areas received several inches of rain Thursday, coupled with unseasonably warm temperatures that caused previous snowfalls to melt.
Ex-prison warden admits stealing over $130K from social club
MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) — The former warden of a prison in northwestern Pennsylvania has pleaded guilty under a plea agreement to stealing $133,000 from a social club while he was the group's administrator.
Timmy "Tim" Lewis pleaded guilty on Wednesday to stealing from Meadville Moose Lodge 2505 between 2011 and 2014. He faces up to a decade in prison at his Oct. 5 sentencing.
As part of his plea agreement, Lewis must pay restitution of at least $123,588 to the club.
