New state campaign reports show Pritzker has pumped $146.5 million into his campaign. Pritzker's self-funding and $50 million that Rauner gave his campaign in 2016 have fueled a combined $234 million fundraising total through September.
CHICAGO (AP) — Democratic billionaire J.B. Pritzker has made a $25 million contribution to his campaign for Illinois governor.
The donation means Pritzker has now put more than $100 million of his own money into his bid to unseat Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner.
Rauner, a wealthy former private equity investor, has raised more than $76 million — much from his own bank accounts.

NEW YORK (AP) — Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman, one of the most powerful women in the business world, is being named the new CEO of Jeffrey Katzenberg's NewTV.
The "mobile-first media platform" is producing short, Hollywood-style productions for mobile devices, with a run time of 10 minutes or less.
Whitman begins in March. Katzenberg, the former Disney chairman and co-founder of DreamWorks Animation, is the chairman.
Whitman joins Sacramento MLS expansion bid
NEW YORK (AP) — Meg Whitman, the CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co., joined the bid of Sacramento, California, for a Major League Soccer franchise on Wednesday as the four finalists made presentations to the league's expansion committee.
Sacramento and Nashville, Tennessee, are considered the favorites to be awarded teams next month. Cincinnati and Detroit also are bidding.

The company now known as HPE will be run by an engineer for the first time in almost two decades, now that Antonio Neri is succeeding Meg Whitman as chief executive officer.

Rhode Island sues HP Enterprise over DMV computer system
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The state is suing Hewlett Packard Enterprise over a long-delayed project to build a new computer system for its Division of Motor Vehicles.
A lawsuit filed Tuesday in Rhode Island Superior Court seeks a temporary restraining order and injunction that would block the Palo Alto, California-based company from walking off the project. The lawsuit says the state has already paid more than $13 million for a new DMV computer system that hasn't been fully delivered.
A new television ad by Rep. Scott Garrett accuses opponent Josh Gottheimer of assaulting and intimidating a neighbor – civil claims she later withdrew – and it comes as Garrett is said to be one of the must vulnerable incumbents in the nation and as fellow Republicans are endorsing his Democratic challenger.
HP buying Samsung Electronics’ printer business for $1.05B
NEW YORK (AP) — HP is buying Samsung Electronics Co.'s printer business in a transaction worth $1.05 billion.
HP Inc. said Monday that it is the largest print acquisition in the company's history and will help it go from traditional copiers to multifunction printers. HP also said the deal will strengthen its position in laser printing, which it established with Canon.
Samsung's printer business includes more than 6,500 printing patents.
