Ducks acquire Del Zotto from Canucks for Schenn
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Anaheim Ducks have acquired defenseman Michael Del Zotto from the Vancouver Canucks for defenseman Luke Schenn and a 2020 seventh-round draft pick.
The teams announced the trade Wednesday night. The 28-year-old Del Zotto had a goal and three assists with the Canucks this season and has 54 goals and 161 assists over 10 NHL seasons.
Drouin’s power-play goal sends Canadiens past Canucks 3-2
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — - The Montreal Canadiens are ending a western road swing with a renewed sense of confidence.
Jonathan Drouin scored a power-play goal with less than three minutes remaining to lead the Canadiens to a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
Drouin scored just seconds after Vancouver defenseman Michael Del Zotto was whistled for interference.
Tomas Tatar and Andrew Shaw also scored for the Canadiens.
Pettersson scores twice, leads Canucks past Wild 5-2
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Scoring was nice for Elias Pettersson. Winning was even better.
The speedy rookie scored a pair of the goals, the second on a third-period breakaway, to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.
The victory snapped the Canucks' two-game losing streak and came on the heels of Vancouver's 5-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.
Baertschi lifts Canucks over Avalanche 4-3 in OT
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Sven Baertschi fired in a picture-perfect shot under pressure.
The Swiss forward scored 1:07 into overtime Tuesday night, ripping his 11th goal of the season shortside over Jonathan Bernier's glove to give the Vancouver Canucks a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
"I didn't know I had that in my bag, to be honest," Baertschi said. "In overtime, it can go both ways. But I thought we really deserved it tonight."
Sharks F Timo Meier fined for elbowing Del Zotto
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier has been fined for elbowing Vancouver defenseman Michael Del Zotto.
The NHL announced Sunday that Meier will be fined $2,403.67 for the infraction. The play occurred late in the third period of San Jose's 5-0 win over the Canucks on Saturday night. Meier was assessed a major penalty for elbowing and a game misconduct.
Vancouver, British Columbia — Tomas Tatar hadn't scored a point in seven games, but he picked a good time to stop the slump.
Tatar scored at 18:46 of the third period, breaking a tie and giving the Red Wings a 3-2 victory over Vancouver.
Tatar's fourth goal of the season — and 200th career point — gave the Red Wings (8-7-1) their second consecutive victory and fourth in five games.
Vancouver (7-5-2) scored twice in 2:14 early in the third period, tying the score at 2.
Bergeron leads Bruins over Canucks 6-3 with goal, 3 assists
BOSTON (AP) — Patrice Bergeron had a goal and three assists in his season debut, moving up to seventh on Boston's career scoring list as the Bruins beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-3 on Thursday night.
Anders Bjork scored twice for Boston, Brad Marchand had a goal and two assists and David Pastrnak added a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who scored five straight goals after falling behind 1-0 early in the first period.

Backstrom scores in OT as Capitals beat Flyers
WASHINGTON (AP) — Nicklas Backstrom scored a power-play goal in overtime to lift the Washington Capitals over the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 on Saturday night and extend their franchise-record home winning streak to 15.
Backstrom ended the Capitals' power-play frustrations by beating Steve Mason 3:25 into overtime for his 20th goal of the season. It came with Flyers defenseman Michael Del Zotto in the penalty box for holding, the 12th minor penalty of the game.
Flyers hold on to beat Avs 4-3 for 10th straight win
DENVER (AP) — Roman Lyubimov and Brayden Schenn scored 1:46 apart in the third period to help the Philadelphia Flyers to their 10th straight victory, 4-3 over the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.

Simmonds leads Flyers past Predators 4-2 for 5th straight

Wayne Simmonds scored two power-play goals and Philadelphia beat the Nashville Predators 4-2 on Sunday night to win its fifth consecutive game.
Playing in front of a sellout crowd, the Flyers (14-10-3) earned their second road victory in two days against a Central Division team. They defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Saturday.
Claude Giroux scores in OT, Flyers beat Senators 3-2
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Claude Giroux couldn't have asked for a much better trip to Ottawa.
The Philadelphia captain scored twice, the second 40 seconds into overtime in the Flyers' 3-2 victory over the Senators on Thursday night.
Giroux's two-goal outing came a night after he was engaged to girlfriend Ryanne Breton of Ottawa.
"It was pretty special (to get engaged) and to get the win was icing on the cake," said Giroux, who grew up in the area.
Gostisbehere, Mason lift Flyers over Bruins 3-2 in shootout

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The day after allowing six goals in a lopsided loss, Steve Mason was supposed to be given the night off.
Instead, he was thrown into injury relief duty and helped the Flyers pull out a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.
Brayden Schenn scored the tiebreaking goal at 8:43 of the third period, and Brandon Manning and Michael Del Zotto also scored to help the Flyers snap a three-game skid.
