STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Jeffrey Carroll scored 26 points, tying a career-high with five 3-pointers, and Kendall Smith added 19 points to help Oklahoma State beat Stanford 71-65 on Monday night in a second-round game of the NIT.
Oklahoma State (21-14) outscored Stanford 29-18 in the fourth quarter to secure a school-record-tying 15th home victory this season. The Cowboys trailed 54-53 before Carroll scored five points during a 12-1 run for the only double-digit lead of the second half.

Travis scored 23 of his career-high 33 points in the first half as Stanford jumped to an early lead on the way to a 94-78 victory over the Huskies on Thursday night.
"Their bigs kind of like to stay back by the basket," Travis said. "I knew if I got big and could operate, I'd have a good game if I could finish. That was my mindset."
Reid scores 29 points in Stanford’s 71-59 win over the Dons
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Reid Travis made his first shot and then made another. His confidence grew and it led to a career night.
Travis matched his career-high with 29 points and had eight rebounds in helping Stanford win its third in four games, beating San Francisco 71-59 on Sunday.
"When I was able to get one early, I gained a little confidence," Travis said. "I stayed in attack mode and got some early looks."
Travis, Davis each score 20 in Stanford’s win over Denver
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Daejon Davis just completed his first quarter of college, finishing several projects and essays. He still found the energy to play one of his best games of the season.
Reid Travis and Davis each scored 20 points and Stanford beat Denver 75-62 on Friday night.
"With the long stretch off, coach really held us accountable on everything," Davis said. "The level of focus on the little things helped us."
Travis leads Stanford past Montana 70-54
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Stanford freshman Daejon Davis, coming off a nightmarish 11-turnover game, scored 17 points to help spark the Cardinal to a 70-54 win over Montana on Wednesday night, snapping a four-game losing streak.
"Wins feel great regardless of my stats. If I turn the ball over 100 times and we win, I'm happy for my team," Davis said.
Humphrey scores 17, leads Stanford past Northeastern 73-59
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Michael Humphrey is already excited about Stanford's next game and he made sure to do his part in contributing to gaining some momentum heading into it.
Humphrey had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Isaac White added 17 points and Stanford beat Northeastern 73-59 on Friday.

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Michael Humphrey wasn't close to scoring in the first game of the season. He came back in the second game with a chip on his shoulder.
Humphrey scored 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to help Stanford beat Pacific 89-80 on Sunday night.
"Those were two totally different games," Humphrey said. "I had to play harder and I have to keep playing well."
Travis scores 26 to lead Stanford past Cal Poly 78-62
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Reid Travis scored a game-high 26 points and had 12 rebounds and Stanford won its eighth straight season opener, beating Cal Poly 78-62 on Friday night.
Freshman Isaac White added 17 points for the Cardinal, who extended their winning streak against Cal Poly to six games. Dorian Pickens and Robert Cartwright each had 10 points and Michael Humphrey added nine boards.
Stanford returns the fifth-most experienced team in college basketball, but the veterans have been impressed by the newcomers.
“The amount of guys we have who played significant minutes does help us, but the twist of that is that we bring in some talented freshmen,” redshirt junior forward Reid Travis said. “So we have leadership and experience, and mix it with those guys and it should be good.”
