Allen Park — Over the next several days, leading up to the NFL draft, we'll take a position-by-position look at the Detroit Lions' roster situation and evaluate how the team might address these positions during the event. Today: Wide receivers and tight ends
■Current roster: Marvin Jones, Golden Tate, Kenny Golladay, TJ Jones, Bradley Marquez, Jace Billingsley, Andy Jones, Dontez Ford, Luke Willson, Michael Roberts, Levine Toilolo, Hakeem Valles, Brandon Barnes
Orlando, Fla. — The Lions are adding another veteran tight end to the roster, according to multiple reports, agreeing to terms with Levine Toilolo. He had visited with the team last week.
A fourth-round pick out of Stanford in 2013, Toilolo has spent his entire five-year career with the Atlanta Falcons. The 6-foot-8, 265-pounder had his most productive season in 2014, catching 31 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

The Lions reportedly explored trade offers last week, but apparently didn't find any takers for the 24-year-old tight end. The team also shopped him prior to the trading deadline last season.

TE Michael Roberts a surprise inactive for Lions
Detroit – Detroit Lions rookie tight end Michael Roberts is unexpectedly inactive for the team's season finale against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Roberts had appeared in all 15 games this season and had played 45 offensive snaps the past two weeks. Allen Park —The best way to build a foundation in the NFL is through developing young talent, and for the third consecutive season, the Lions are getting extensive contribution for the team's rookie class.
