NEW YORK (AP) — Six-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald is heading back to Broadway to be a waitress — but not in "Waitress."
McDonald, along with Michael Shannon, will star in a revival of the Terrence McNally romance "Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune," starting in May.
The play is about the love affair between a cook and a waitress who meet in a New York restaurant. Al Pacino and Michele Pfeiffer starred in a movie version.

NEW YORK (AP) — John le Carre's best-selling novel "The Little Drummer Girl" was released in 1983 but remains timely — and that disturbs Alexander Skarsgard.
Skarsgard and Michael Shannon star in a six-hour miniseries based on the novel, playing Israeli agents on the hunt for a Palestinian bomber. "The Little Drummer Girl" premieres Monday night on AMC.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Josh Brolin is expanding his comic book movie repertoire.
Representatives for the actor said Wednesday that Brolin has been set to play the part of Cable in 20th Century Fox's "Deadpool 2" opposite lead Ryan Reynolds. Brolin also plays the supervillain Thanos in various "Avengers" movies for competing studio Disney.
Michael Shannon had been widely rumored to be the top pick for the Deadpool co-star.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A six-part television series covering a deadly standoff between the federal government and the Branch Davidians spiritual sect more than two decades ago will be filmed in New Mexico.

GILCHRIST, Texas (AP) — A nearly $4 million project adding more than a mile of Gulf of Mexico beach to the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County is about complete.
The project that began in October has dumped about 100,000 cubic yards of sand along a 1.2-mile stretch of beach west of Rollover Pass near Gilchrist to build the shoreline and help prevent erosion.
