In Utah governor race, Herbert looks to lock up 1 more term
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — After overcoming a rough primary challenge earlier this year, Republican Gov. Gary Herbert has won four more years as Utah's governor after defeating Democrat Mike Weinholtz on Tuesday.
Herbert is now on track to become one of the state's longest-serving governors. By the time he leaves office in January 2021, he will have served for about 11 ½ years.
