Franklin says Penn State has work to do to be elite program
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Penn State has enjoyed a striking turnaround since an embarrassing reality-check loss at Ann Arbor two seasons ago.
But the feel-good era, which saw the Nittany Lions win 24 of 27 games, a Big Ten championship in 2016, and come close to the College Football Playoff each of the last two years, is over now.
"We kind of needed this to humble ourselves," running back Miles Sanders said after Penn State's 27-26 loss to Ohio State on Saturday.

Here's what to watch in the Big Ten this week:
No. 9 Penn State’s offensive line now powering Nittany Lions

As No. 9 Penn State's offensive linemen have piled up pancake blocks, Sanders has racked up yards and touchdowns. Together, they're powering one of the country's most consistently explosive rushing attacks.
Sanders, McSorley lead No. 10 Penn State over Illinois 63-24
