Rose scored 22 points and Teague added 19 points and 10 assists for the Timberwolves, who played without the ill Andrew Wiggins but beat the Los Angeles Clippers 130-120 on Monday night. Rose and Teague both have missed significant time with injuries recently.

Conley and longtime teammate Marc Gasol are being shopped around ahead of Thursday's trade deadline. Gasol was a late scratch amid reports about the Grizzlies being in trade talks.

Luckily for the Minnesota Timberwolves, the star center was available — and in the right spot — in overtime.
Towns hit a buzzer-beating desperation shot in overtime to lift Minnesota over the Memphis Grizzlies, 99-97 on Wednesday night. Memphis led twice during overtime, but Towns helped the Timberwolves close out their fourth win in a row.

NBA discipline executive Kiki VanDeWeghe handed down the fine Thursday.
It stems from an incident that occurred Tuesday night in the third quarter of the Timberwolves' 118-91 win over the Suns.

With 30 seconds left, Rose missed the first of two free throws and was kicking himself for failing to give his team the lead.
"I kept saying, 'You're going to get another shot," Taj Gibson said he told his long-time teammate. Twenty-nine seconds later, Rose proved Gibson prophetic.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Thunder's Nerlens Noel has been placed in the NBA's concussion protocol after he collided with Andrew Wiggins and hit the floor Tuesday night during Oklahoma City's game with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The team announced that Noel was held overnight at the University of Oklahoma's hospital for tests and observations and was released Wednesday. There is no timetable for Noel to complete the protocol process.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Ryan Saunders went right into the fire in his first game as the Minnesota Timberwolves' interim coach.
His debut was a down-to-the wire finish with the Oklahoma City Thunder, one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

CHICAGO (AP) — For much of his seven seasons with the Bulls, Derrick Rose was a favorite son of Chicago. He was native born and virtually universally beloved.
Things, though, soured towards the end as injuries mounted. The former franchise player was traded in 2016 and serenaded with boos upon his return a few months later.
The 30-year-old is hoping Wednesday night began a new chapter in his relationship with his hometown.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The struggling Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off perhaps their best win of the season Sunday night.
Andrew Wiggins scored a season-high 30 points and hit the go-ahead layup with 14 seconds remaining to help the Timberwolves defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 114-112.
It was Minnesota's first road win against a Western Conference team this season, and it came against a squad that entered the night tied for the best record in the West.
Derrick Rose to sit out vs. Thunder with sore ankle
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves guard Derrick Rose was ruled out Sunday against Oklahoma City with a sore left ankle.
Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau made the announcement prior to the game.
Rose left Friday's game at San Antonio in the second quarter.

Blake Griffin scored 34 points and Reggie Bullock added a career-high 33 as the Pistons beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-123 in overtime on Wednesday night.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Karl-Anthony Towns got the Minnesota Timberwolves started and then enjoyed watching rookie Josh Okogie and the bench deliver the big blow.
Towns had 14 points and 14 assists in just 21 minutes, Andrew Wiggins scored 17 and the Timberwolves beat the road-weary Sacramento Kings 132-105 on Monday night.
Jeff Teague out for Timberwolves vs. Kings with ankle injury
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Jeff Teague will miss Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings with left ankle inflammation.
Coach Tom Thibodeau said Teague, who averages 11.6 points and a team-high 8.3 assists per game, didn't sustain a particular injury, but the inflammation built over time.
Teague had been considered a game-time decision. He missed seven games earlier this season with a left knee injury. Derrick Rose will start in Teague's place.
Suns beat Wolves, first 2-game win streak in almost a year
PHOENIX (AP) — Victories are rare for the Phoenix Suns. Winning streaks seem downright historic.
Devin Booker returned from a six-game absence to score 28 points and Phoenix beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 107-99 on Saturday night, giving the Suns consecutive wins for the first time in almost a year.
Deandre Ayton had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Suns, including 10 points and five boards in the fourth quarter, when Phoenix pulled away. T.J. Warren added 21 points for Phoenix.
