MONTREAL (AP) — The Montreal Canadiens lost their game to the Minnesota Wild, but not their captain.
Mikael Granlund scored, Devan Dubnyk stopped 32 shots for his first shutout of the season and the Wild defeated the Canadiens 1-0 Monday night.
The Canadiens got good news about Shea Weber, who was hit in the face with the puck while blocking a shot in the first period.
The Canadiens' captain will travel with the team on a two-game trip, starting Tuesday night in Detroit.
Spurgeon leads Wild past Senators 4-3
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Jared Spurgeon and the Minnesota Wild turned a tough start into a nice win.
Spurgeon scored twice to help the Wild beat the Ottawa Senators 4-3 on Saturday.

Parise broke a tie off a turnover early in the third period and the Wild rallied to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 on Thursday.
"It's been some tough sledding for us," Parise said. "We played a pretty solid game."
Auston Matthews lost the puck to Parise, who beat goalie Michael Hutchinson high over his glove at 4:21 for his 18th goal of the season. Minnesota overcame deficits of 2-0 and 3-2.
