Police investigating shooting outside Las Vegas casino
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas say they are investigating a shooting outside the Monte Carlo casino-hotel that left one man injured.
Capt. John Pelletier says the shooting happened around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday after what he described as a "drug deal gone bad."
Pelletier says the victim was shot twice. He is being treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
About 8 p.m. April 25, the drivers of a black Honda motorcycle and a 2001 white Chevrolet Monte Carlo started overtaking each other at Maplecrest Road and Lake Avenue.
Both drivers accelerated in order to pass each other until the motorcycle no longer had room to change lanes and crashed into the rear of a black 2013 Honda Accord in the left southbound lane of Maplecrest Road, according to court documents.
After the motorcycle crashed into the Accord, it then struck the Monte Carlo.

Billings man taken to hospital after hitting a telephone pole on Sixth Ave. North
A single vehicle crash sent one man to the hospital and backed up morning traffic on Sixth Avenue North Wednesday.
At about 6:20 a.m. Billings police responded to the intersection Sixth Avenue and North 25th Street where a Chevrolet Monte Carlo rested on its side on the north sidewalk.
A 39-year-old Billings man was trapped inside the Chevrolet and it took Billings firefighters about 30 minutes to remove him from the car, said Sgt. Bret Becker, of Billings Police Department.
