Miller scores 20 in Murray State’s 76-66 win over EIU
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Terrell Miller Jr. made four 3-pointers and scored 20 points with 12 rebounds and Murray State picked up its 10th straight victory with a 76-66 win over Eastern Illinois on Thursday night.
The Racers (23-5, 15-2) entered the night tied with Belmont for first in the Ohio Valley Conference. Murray State closes the regular season at Austin Peay on Saturday.
OVC scoring leader Jonathan Stark, Shaq Buchanan and Ja Morant all added 15 points each for Murray State.
Goodwin hits 5 3-pointers; E. Illinois beats UT Martin 64-57
MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) — Montell Goodwin made five 3-pointers and scored 18 points to lead Eastern Illinois to a 64-57 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday night.
Goodwin was 5-of-14 shooting, all from long range. Ray Crossland and Muusa Dama added 12 points apiece for Eastern Illinois (10-17, 6-10 Ohio Valley Conference). D'Angelo Jackson chipped in six points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Austin Peay picks up 10th conference win of season
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Dayton Gumm scored 15 points to lead four Austin Peay starters in double figures and the Governors beat Eastern Illinois 76-69 on Saturday, giving the Governors their 10th Ohio Valley Conference victory of the season, the most for the program since the 2010-11 season.
Terry Taylor added 14 points, Averyl Ugba 13 and Chris Porter-Bunton 10 for the Governors (15-11, 10-4), who have won five of their last six games.
Eastern Illinois holds off SIU Edwardsville from line, 78-74
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Montell Goodwin scored 21 points and Muusa Dama and Ray Crossland each added 17 and Eastern Illinois converted 10 of 12 from the free throw line in the final 90 seconds to hold off SIU Edwardsville 78-74 on Thursday night.

CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Mack Smith had a career-high 31 points, Montell Goodwin added 23 and Eastern Illinois made 11 of 17 from 3-point range to beat Tennessee Tech 79-71 on Saturday.
Smith, a freshman, was 5 of 7 from 3-point range and 12 of 17 overall from the field. Goodwin made 4 of 5 3-point attempts and 7 of 9 foul shots while grabbing six boards and handing out six assists.

Morant’s triple-double leads Murray St. past E. Illinois
MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Ja Morant distributed 14 assists, scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his first triple-double and Murray State pulled away from Eastern Illinois for an 80-52 win Thursday night to start Ohio Valley Conference play.

Watson leads Nebraska past Eastern Illinois 72-68
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Glynn Watson Jr. hit back-to-back baskets in the last two minutes and made four free throws in the final 12 seconds to lift Nebraska to a 72-68 win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
Nebraska struggled to score throughout the game, hitting just 39 percent of its shots from the field and making just 19 of 35 free throws in the season opener for both teams.
Eastern Illinois, which shot 40 percent for the game, led 54-48 on Montell Goodwin's 3-pointer with 9:14 left.
Dama leads E. Illinois to 86-80 OT win over SE Missouri St.
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Muusa Dama scored nine of Eastern Illinois' 15 overtime points and the Panthers controlled the extra period for an 86-80 win over Southeast Missouri State on Saturday.
Dama, who finished with 14 points, hit a jumper to start overtime, and Eastern Illinois won the extra period 15-9. Dama finished with 18 rebounds and five blocks to give him Eastern Illinois' single-season record of 58 rejections.
Goodwin has 22, Eastern Illinois upends UT Martin 81-71
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Montell Goodwin scored 22 points, Demetrius McReynolds added 16 and Eastern Illinois upset UT Martin 81-71 on Thursday night.
The duo split 28 points in the first half when the Panthers shot 55 percent, including 7 of 13 3-pointers, to take a 45-33 lead. The Skyhawks got within six after a 9-0 run early in the second half but Goodwin and Casey Teson hit 3-pointers in an 11-2 run that made it 60-48 with 11:43 left.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Demetrius McReynolds scored 22 points and Eastern Illinois defeated Tennessee State 77-67 in overtime on Thursday night.
Muusa Dama added 16 points and a game-high eight rebounds with Montell Goodwin adding 11 points and six assists and Terrell Lewis 11 points and four assists.
The Panthers (11-12, 3-7 Ohio Valley) made 10 of 22 3-pointers and scored 30 points off 18 Tennessee State turnovers in winning their second straight after a five-game losing streak.
Robinson scores 36 points in Austin Peay’s victory
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Josh Robinson scored 36 points, including five 3-pointers, and Austin Peay defeated Eastern Illinois 92-84 on Saturday.
The victory was the second straight for the Governors (6-13, 2-3 Ohio Valley) after 11 straight losses.

McReynolds, Eastern Illinois beat Western Illinois 73-64
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Demetrius McReynolds had 21 points and seven rebounds and Eastern Illinois beat in-state rival Western Illinois 73-64 on Saturday night.
The Panthers (2-2) were in front for the final 33 minutes, occasionally pushing the advantage into double digits. But the Leathernecks (1-3) stayed within striking distance and had a 9-2 run to close within 61-56 with 4:18 left.
Eastern Illinois beats NAIA St. Francis (ILL) 83-41
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) — Demetrius McReynolds scored 18 points with four assists as Eastern Illinois beat NAIA St. Francis (ILL) 83-41 in a season opener on Friday night.
McReynolds was 7 of 8 from the field, including two from distance for the Panthers. Montell Goodwin added 15 points and Muusa Dama led the team in rebounds with nine in addition to scoring six points. The Panthers averaged 55.4 percent from the field and 65 percent from the line.
