Elderly lion dies at northeastern Indiana animal sanctuary
ALBION, Ind. (AP) — A 22-year-old African lion named Mufasa has died after spending the last seven years at a northeastern Indiana sanctuary.
The Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion announced the lion was laid to rest Wednesday.
Mufasa previously lived at a roadside zoo near Monticello before the Indiana Department of Natural Resources ordered him moved to Black Pine in June 2011.

The airman's name was Dean DuVall, and he was from Buffalo, Indiana, a few miles north of Monticello, though he does have family in Fort Wayne.
For years, DuVall was listed as missing in action, but in 1978 he was declared killed in action, though the circumstances remained a mystery. All that was known was that the plane he was on had disappeared.
