Jutanugarn fires a 68 to lead Blue Bay LPGA by 4 shots
HAINAN ISLAND, China (AP) — Top-ranked Ariya Jutanugarn shot a 4-under 68 to take a four-stroke lead at the halfway point of the Blue Bay LPGA tournament.
Jutanugarn had birdies on the final two holes — and four of the closing seven — on Thursday to take command over the rest of the field at 7-under 137.
Jennifer Song, Moriya Jutanugarn, and Gaby Lopez shot 71s and were in a tie for second at 3-under.
The leader is likely to play in a group on Friday with her older sister.
Wie and Korda win for US at International Crown
INCHEON, South Korea (AP) — With a typhoon approaching and rain falling, Michelle Wie and Jessica Korda had plenty of opposition to overcome on the second day of the UL International Crown.
And overcome it they did.
Wie and Korda led the way as the United States won both fourball matches against Thailand on Friday to move to the top of Pool B in the eight-nation tournament.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Amy Olson crossed paths with her coach, Ron Stockton, on her walk to the 18th tee at the Volvik Championship.
"Make it another even $20," Stockton said.
The coach was already prepared to give his client $35 for making seven birdies — $5 each — and wanted to take her mind off the bogey she just had at 17.

Moriya Jutanugarn shot a bogey-free 5-under 66 on Friday at Wilshire Country Club to get to 8-under 134 in the LPGA Tour's first event in Los Angeles since 2005.

Record-setting Korda wins LPGA Thailand
CHONBURI, Thailand (AP) — Florida's Jessica Korda set a tournament record to win the LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course on Sunday.
Korda held off Lexi Thompson and local hope Moriya Jutanugarn for a four-stroke win after a final-round 67 for an overall total of 25 under 263, smashing the previous mark of 22 under set by Amy Yang of South Korea in 2017.
Korda leads Moriya by 4 strokes in Thailand
CHONBURI, Thailand (AP) — Jessica Korda kept an eye on her younger sister while firing a 4-under 68 in the third round of the LPGA Thailand on Saturday to lead Moriya Jutanugarn by four strokes.
A day after a course-record 62 at Siam Country Club, Korda fought back from a bogey on the front nine with five birdies to finish on 20-under 196 overall. The American was on the 18th hole when concerns over lightning suspended play for 30 minutes before play resumed.
Moriya Jutanugarn leads at Evian, aims at majors record
EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France (AP) — Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand shot 3-under 68 to lead the Evian Championship second round on Saturday, and could join her younger sister Ariya in golf's record book.
Seeking to be the first sisters to win a major title, Moriya's 9-under total left her one shot ahead of Ayako Uehara of Japan, who had seven birdies in her round of 66.

GURNEE, Ill. (AP) — England's Charley Hull is playing in the UL International Crown after missing the second session because of asthma and fever.
Hull joined partner Melissa Reid for the start of their match on Saturday against sisters Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand.
The 20-year-old Hull sought medical attention when she arrived at the course Friday. She was hoping to join Reid at some point, but the medical team advised her to rest.
