BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) — David Efianayi scored a career-high 33 points and had six rebounds as Gardner-Webb edged Charleston Southern 77-74 on Wednesday night.
Efianayi was 11 of 18 from the field including four from distance for the Bulldogs (16-10, 7-5 Big South Conference). Jose Perez added 12 points, Eric Jamison Jr. had 11 points and six rebounds and Nate Johnson had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Lewis carries Presbyterian over Gardner-Webb 103-101 in OT
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Francois Lewis had 29 points, including three straight free throws in the final second of overtime as Presbyterian extended its home winning streak to eight games, edging past Gardner-Webb 103-101 on Saturday.
Davon Bell added 21 points for the Blue Hose. Bell also had eight assists for the Blue Hose.
Cory Hightower had 16 points and seven rebounds for Presbyterian (15-11, 7-4 Big South Conference). Adam Flagler added 13 points.

DJ Laster scored 14 points, David Efianayi had 13 and Justin Jenkins 12 for the Runnin' Bulldogs (4-5), who held the Tigers to 28 percent shooting and outscored them 48-14 in the paint.
Ex-Michigan football player gets jail time in assault case
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Former Michigan football player Nate Johnson has been sentenced to four days in jail after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors to resolve a domestic assault case.
The Ann Arbor News reports a judge in Ann Arbor on Friday also sentenced the 19-year-old to six months of probation. He previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Former Michigan football player Nate Johnson had reached a plea deal with prosecutors to resolve a domestic assault case.
The Ann Arbor News reports Johnson pleaded guilty Wednesday to a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery during a hearing. He was originally charged with domestic assault. Johnson is free on bond ahead of sentencing Dec. 1.
Suspended Michigan player charged in alleged assault
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Suspended Michigan football player Nate Johnson is facing one charge of domestic assault.
School spokeswoman Diane Brown says the alleged assault happened shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday outside a dormitory and Johnson was arrested nearby. He was suspended a short time later.
The sophomore cornerback from Thompson's Station, Tennessee, played wide receiver last year as a freshman, catching one pass. He switched to defense this year and hasn't played in a game.
Michigan announces suspension of sophomore DB
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan defensive back Nate Johnson has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities.
The school announced the suspension in a one-sentence statement Saturday that did not say why Johnson was suspended.
Johnson played wide receiver last year as a freshman, catching one pass on the season. He then switched positions to cornerback.
