( NewMediaWire ) - November 05, 2019 - Omaha, NE - Thanksgiving dinner never goes exactly as planned according to 63 percent of respondents in a recent survey of 2,000 Americans conducted by OnePoll on behalf of America’s Original Butcher, Omaha Steaks.

The survey revealed that although over 77 percent of respondents spend between 2-5 hours preparing their Thanksgiving meal, Americans still face ‘Thanksgiving Fails’ year in and year out. Not getting all the cooking done on time is the most common fail (60.59 percent), followed by running out of wine (28.27 percent), spilling a dish on the floor (27.84 percent), and forgetting an essential ingredient (27.52 percent).

On top of these fails, over half of those surveyed (56 percent) said that cooking the turkey correctly is one of the hardest parts about hosting Thanksgiving, and nearly 76 percent agreed that Thanksgiving would be a much more pleasurable event if all the cooking was already done.
