PHOENIX (AP) — The series between National League playoff hopefuls Atlanta and Arizona has been a wild ride, and Saturday night's ending might have topped them all.
Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson made a diving stop on the outfield grass and cut down Nick Ahmed at home plate for the final out to preserve Atlanta's 5-4 victory in 10 innings.
"He just gave every last bit of energy he had and obviously won the game for us," Braves manager Brian Snitker said.

CHICAGO (AP) — David Bote hit a tying, two-run homer off Brad Boxberger with one out in the ninth inning, Anthony Rizzo followed two pitches later with a winning home run and the Chicago Cubs overcame a five-run deficit to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-6 on Thursday.

David Peralta and A.J. Pollock homered in Arizona's four-run seventh inning, and the Diamondbacks beat the Rockies 5-3 on Tuesday night.

PHOENIX (AP) — Diamondbacks infielder Ketel Marte has left Arizona's game against the San Francisco Giants after injuring his right leg beating out an infield single in the seventh inning.
The speedy Marte fell face-first to the ground after crossing first base but walked off under his own power with the team's trainers. Marte plays second base and shortstop for Arizona. He was at shortstop Saturday night, with Nick Ahmed getting a rest.
