PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Carter Hart made 41 saves, Sean Couturier and Jakub Voracek scored, and the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 on Monday night for their eighth straight victory.
The Flyers pulled within five points of a playoff spot after having the NHL's worst record on Jan. 9 — they were 14 points out of a postseason berth during the All-Star break just over a week ago. Philadelphia also became the first NHL expansion club to reach 2,000 victories

Roussel, Virtanen lead Canucks to 5-1 win over Avalanche
DENVER (AP) — The Vancouver Canucks were refreshed after a nine-day break. The Colorado Avalanche looked like the same team that stumbled into its hiatus.
Jake Virtanen and Antoine Roussel each had a goal and an assist as the Canucks raced to an early lead and defeated Colorado 5-1 Saturday night.
Boeser’s hat trick leads Canucks over Blues 6-1
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Brock Boeser didn't need much help during a breakout 2017-18 season. Now he's getting plenty from another star rookie in Elias Pettersson.
Boeser scored his second career hat trick, Pettersson had a goal and four assists and the Vancouver Canucks beat the St. Louis Blues 6-1 on Sunday.
Lundqvist ties Plante on NHL wins list, Rangers edge Canucks
NEW YORK (AP) — Henrik Lundqvist stopped 25 shots to lead the surging New York Rangers to a 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night.
Filip Chytil and Brett Howden scored to help Lundqvist get his 437th career win, tying Jacque Plante for seventh place on the NHL's all-time list. The Rangers improved to 6-0-1 in the last seven.
Lundqvist made two big saves on Vancouver's rookie sensation Elias Pettersson in the closing seconds to preserve the win.
Larkin’s shootout goal gives Red Wings 3-2 win over Canucks
DETROIT (AP) — Down by two in the second period and still looking for their first goal of the night, the Detroit Red Wings simply kept competing.
That perseverance paid off with a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks when Dylan Larkin scored the only goal in a shootout Tuesday.
Lindholm scores twice, Flames beat Canucks 7-4
CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Calgary Flames coach Bill Peters is seeing a payoff for moving newcomer Elias Lindholm onto the Flames' top line.
Lindholm scored his first two goals with Calgary and the Flames scored four unanswered goals in the third period for a 7-4 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
The Swede, acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes in a trade at the June draft, scored a power-play goal that was the eventual game-winner at 14:28 of the third period.
Meier scores winner as Sharks beat Canucks 5-3
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — The San Jose Sharks were able to pull out a win despite struggling to shake the Vancouver Canucks.
Timo Meier's second goal of the game snapped a third-period tie and the Sharks won 5-3 on Saturday night for their fourth consecutive victory.
Logan Couture and Kevin Labanc each had a goal and an assist, and Tomas Hertl scored into an empty net with 25 seconds remaining for the Sharks, who are 7-2-0 in their last nine games.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — After more than 100 career starts, Vancouver goalie Jacob Markstrom finally has his first NHL shutout.
Markstrom made 30 saves and the Canucks blanked the Carolina Hurricanes 3-0 on Tuesday night for their third straight win.
Vancouver defenseman Derrick Pouliot had a goal and two assists. Nikolay Goldobin and Thomas Vanek also scored for the Canucks (14-10-4).
Canucks edge Kings 4-3 to end 4-game losing streak
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Nikolay Goldobin assumed his first goal with the Vancouver Canucks would simply cap off a comfortable win in his debut for his new team. It proved to be far more valuable than that.
Goldobin's goal midway through the second period proved to be the difference as the Canucks held on for a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night to end a four-game losing streak.
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — San Jose general manager Doug Wilson has seen more than enough from his team in the first three-quarters of the season to justify sacrificing a bit of the future for a playoff push.

Sharks acquire F Jannik Hansen in trade from Canucks
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Jannik Hansen from the Vancouver Canucks for prospect Nikolay Goldobin and a conditional draft pick.
General manager Doug Wilson called the 30-year-old Hansen a versatile winger who plays with speed and will help the Sharks at both ends of the ice as they make their push to the playoffs.
