Horchler scores 22 to lead North Florida over NJIT 64-63
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Noah Horchler had 22 points as North Florida narrowly beat NJIT 64-63 on Saturday.
North Florida led 63-52 with 1:33 remaining in the game but NJIT rallied with two 3-pointers and 5 of 5 from the free-throw line. Diandre Wilson made three free throws and NJIT trailed 64-63 with 23 seconds to go. The Highlanders fouled Ivan Gandia-Rosa, who missed both free throws with 11 seconds left. Abdul Lewis missed a jumper on NJIT's final possession.
Gandia-Rosa leads North Florida over Kennesaw State 80-57
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Ivan Gandia-Rosa had 19 points to lead five North Florida players in double figures as the Ospreys rolled past Kennesaw State 80-57 on Wednesday night.
Noah Horchler added 16 points for the Ospreys. Garrett Sams chipped in 14, Wajid Aminu scored 11 and Carter Hendricksen had 10. Horchler also had 13 rebounds and three blocks for the Ospreys, while Aminu posted 10 rebounds and four blocks.
Horchler leads North Florida past North Alabama 82-73
FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) — Noah Horchler had a career-high 32 points as North Florida defeated North Alabama 82-73 on Saturday.
Ivan Gandia-Rosa had 16 points, six rebounds and six assists for North Florida (10-16, 4-7 Atlantic Sun Conference), which ended its six-game losing streak. Ezekiel Balogun added 15 points and three blocks. Garrett Sams had seven rebounds for the visitors.
Casimir scores 34, leads FGCU past North Florida 88-80
FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Schadrac Casimir scored 34 points, matching his career-high set three games earlier, and Florida Gulf Coast held off North Florida 88-80 on Sunday.
Notae, Jacksonville snap 3-game skid, beat North Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — JD Notae scored six of his 22 points in the decisive 14-2 run and Jacksonville held on for an 86-81 win over North Florida on Thursday night to snap a three-game skid.
David Bell, who sat out last season after transferring from Ohio State, had a career-high 16 points and Jalyn Hinton scored 12 with eight rebounds and five blocks for Jacksonville (9-12, 2-4 Atlantic Sun).
Liberty remains unbeaten in Atlantic Sun with 70-64 win
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Scottie James scored 18 points and Caleb Homesley 14 and Liberty remained undefeated in the Atlantic Sun Conference with a 70-64 victory on Saturday night for the Flames' sixth consecutive win.
James and Homesley scored 10 points each in the second half after Liberty (16-4, 5-0) trailed 35-32 at halftime.
There were 20 ties and 15 lead changes with Liberty going up for good with an 8-0 run covering nearly four minutes to lead 67-59 with 28 seconds remaining.
Horchler leads balanced North Florida past FGCU 87-66
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Noah Horchler scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, his ninth double-double of the season, and led a balanced North Florida past Florida Gulf Coast 87-66 on Saturday.
Horchler was one of five players to reach double figures for the Ospreys (8-10, 2-1 Atlantic Sun). Wajid Aminu added 16, Ivan Gandia-Rosa and J.T. Escobar 15 each and Garrett Sams 10. Aminu double-doubled with 12 rebounds, Gandia-Rosa added seven assists, Escobar hit four 3-pointers.
North Florida tops ASUN newcomer North Alabama 96-67
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Noah Horchler had 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Ivan Gandia-Rosa added 16 points and eight assists and North Florida beat Atlantic Sun newcomer North Alabama 96-67 on Saturday in a league opener.
North Florida has won eight in a row at home and UNA was seeking its first road win of the year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Garrett Sams scored 22 points and Noah Horchler scored 16 with 15 rebounds to lead North Florida to a 104-76 win over NAIA-member Florida National on Wednesday night.
Wajid Aminu and Ivan Gandia-Rosa each scored 14 points for the Ospreys (6-9), who have won all four of their home games. The win snapped a two-game losing streak, which came against then-No. 11 Florida State and No. 12 Auburn.
North Florida rallies past Charleston Southern 68-61

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Wajid Aminu scored 20 points, Noah Horchler and JT Escobar added 19 points each and North Florida held off Stetson 97-91 Saturday night.
Aminu was 5 of 6 from the line in the last 3:46 as Stetson threatened. He also converted a three-point play with 1:08 remaining that pushed the Ospreys lead to 89-83.
Escobar was also clutch at the free-throw line, making 6 of 6 in the last 1:44.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Noah Horchler had 15 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday night, his second straight double-double, and North Florida beat Kennesaw State 85-78.
Horchler's jumper with 1:36 left made it 79-76 and started an 8-0 run powered by 6-of-8 free throw shooting that helped the Ospreys (8-12, 2-1 Atlantic Sun) pull away to an 85-76 lead. Tyler Hooker's layup for the Owls with four seconds left capped the scoring for both teams.

Gandia-Rose made all four 3-point attempts to finish 7-of-7 shooting from the floor and made his only free throw attempt.
