Battle scores 24, Syracuse beats Colgate 77-56, ends skid
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — From the perspective of Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, it didn't really look like his team was hitting the gas pedal on offense in the second half against Colgate on Wednesday night.
Then again, compared to the team's performance in the first half, almost anything would have been an improvement.
Brissett scores 20, No. 16 Syracuse beats E Washington 66-34
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — With all five starters back, No. 16 Syracuse didn't figure to skip a beat defensively, and Eastern Washington found that out in a hurry.

Zoned out: 11th-seeded Syracuse eliminates Michigan State
DETROIT (AP) — Syracuse barely got into the NCAA Tournament, getting the 68th and final spot.

On to the next round: Syracuse outlasts Arizona State
Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim has made a concession for his thin roster — shorter practices and more sleep, especially for the Big Three.
Good formula so far.

Syracuse outlasts stubborn Buffalo 81-74
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse won the game but don't tell Buffalo the Orange are better.
"It's frustrating," said Bulls coach Nate Oats. "They (Buffalo players) think they're as good as them. They really do, and I tend to agree with them. Those three players on Syracuse (Tyus Battle, Oshae Brissett and Frank Howard) are really good. After that, we've got some really good players at the front end, too, but we're deeper and our bench is better."

Hope those fans didn't mind looking up. The old highlights on the video board might have been the basketball of the night.

Syracuse survives without Tyus Battle to defeat Toledo 72-64
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — If adversity builds character, then the Syracuse Orange should have a pretty good vibe heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.
