MONTREAL (AP) — Things looked to be getting nasty between P.K. Subban and his former teammates.
Subban was held off the scoresheet and played a turnover-filled game, but his Nashville Predators still pulled out a 3-2 shootout victory on Saturday night — mainly thanks to the outstanding play of goalie Pekka Rinne who made 47 saves, including 10 in the five-minute overtime period.

Alex Ovechkin has hardest shot at skills competition
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Alex Ovechkin had already clinched the hardest shot title at the NHL All-Star game skills competition before taking his final shot.
All that was left was to try to top 100 mph, and Ovechkin did it.
The Washington star was the only player the break the century mark Saturday night, coming on his second try. Ovechkin's first attempt went 98.8 mph.
"Why not?" Ovechkin said, smiling. "And, I did. Of course it's special to get that type of win."

The Predators announced the extent of Forsberg's injury Wednesday. Forsberg got hurt Friday at Minnesota and had missed Nashville's two games since. That marked the first time the Predators had played a regular-season or playoff game without Forsberg since the 2013-14 season.
Capitals beat Devils to take lead in Metropolitan Division
WASHINGTON (AP) — Nicklas Backstrom and John Carlson had a goal and two assists each, Alex Ovechkin had three assists and the Washington Capitals beat the New Jersey Devils 5-2 on Saturday night to move atop the Metropolitan Division.
Braden Holtby stopped 25 shots as Washington won its eighth straight home game. Christian Djoos had a goal and an assist, and Tom Wilson and Matt Niskanen also scored for the Capitals.
Saros’ 29 saves lead Predators over Wild 3-0
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Juuse Saros stepped in for Pekka Rinne and delivered a gem for Nashville.
Saros made 29 saves for his second shutout this season, P.K. Subban scored his ninth goal and the Predators beat the Minnesota Wild 3-0 on Saturday night.
Saros was quick to credit the players in front of him following the game.
"They were better in front of our net," the Finn said. "We didn't give them as much chances as yesterday. I think we were more active today."
Ehlers scores 2, Tanev nets winner as Jets top Predators 6-4
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Brandon Tanev's first goal in almost two months came at a perfect time for the Jets.
Tanev snapped a third-period tie with 1:26 left, sending Winnipeg to a 6-4 victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.
Nikolaj Ehlers had two goals and Adam Lowry, Patrik Laine and Blake Wheeler also scored for the Jets. Tyler Myers added three assists and Connor Hellebuyck made 30 saves.
