Ohio State makes Hartline permanent receivers coach
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Brian Hartline has been promoted to permanent receivers coach at Ohio State.
Hartline, a former Buckeyes player and NFL veteran, was made interim coach when Zach Smith was fired in July because of domestic abuse allegations.
Under Hartline, Ohio State receivers achieved school records in receptions, yards and touchdowns behind quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr.

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) — Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who set Big Ten records for passing yards and touchdowns in a single season, is the conference's offensive player of the year.
The Big Ten on Wednesday announced postseason offensive awards based on voting by coaches and media. Haskins has passed for 4,081 yards and 42 touchdowns, had four 400-yard passing games and became the first Ohio State quarterback with six TD passes in multiple games.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State's struggling offense may have to do without starting wide receiver and kick returner Parris Campbell against No. 9 Nebraska on Saturday.
Campbell, a sophomore who this season was seeing his first significant playing time, left the game in the fourth quarter after being hurt while blocking for Curtis Samuel. Coach Urban Meyer said Monday that Campbell has a high ankle sprain and is questionable for this week's game.
Ohio State suspends wide receiver Torrance Gibson
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State's depth at wide receiver took a hit Monday when the university announced Monday that Torrance Gibson has been suspended from school for unspecified reasons.
Coach Urban Meyer said the suspension was not related to football, and "I disagree with it." He didn't comment further. The university said Gibson was suspended for the fall semester for violating the student conduct code.
